I play acoustic gigs where I sit on a bar stool, so I don't mind this amp being quite big

Perfect for in-ear using drummers

I have this mounted on my floor tom for every gig using a drum mic clip. It's quite bulky so it's not comfortable to wear but the built in clip can clip into many things, I have band mates who have clipped it to a mic stand. it has a threaded hole for mounting on its own stand. the 2 channels are great if you want 2 mixes or different things in different ears. I like to have my own click so I have a separate channel for that which I can control from the drumkit.

It has a stereo/mono switch so you can switch between a full mix in both ears or separate mixes. with a L/R knob to control the balance.

One thing to note if you only have 1 mix make sure to turn the L/R knob all the way to the channel you have as an input.

doesn't come with a 9V power supply, I used my own but a 9V battery will last over 3 hours (thats as long as I've played a gig with battery power so I don't know the limit)

I have used this for over 2 years now and it's been flawless every gig.

Well Built and Versatile

I purchased a few of these to use in a silent rehearsal setup, knowing that they'd need to be rugged and easy to use. In use they've worked flawlessly, and have proven to be more than up to the task, with metal construction, locking XLR inputs, nicely damped controls and a great level of output. It doesn't matter if we feed them mono or stereo signals as the switching is easy and effective. I'd recommend these without hesitation.

Great!

It's cheap, it works and it has everything you need it to have. If you don't want to break the bank with a wireless set these will work for you

Lovely piece of gear.

Simple, functional, used a lot in many different situations (functions, pubs, theatres) and never let me down.

Best price!

I saw this from my bassist. It works like a 1 channel mixer but also it is an amp for your headphones. I used it twice now and it is amazing. With my ATH70 in-ears results were very satisfactory. for this price you can't find something better. I only didn't like that it doesnt have a power source but works fine with a 9v battery.

For the price... This simply cannot be beat!

Purchased this unit to use with my in ear monitors.

As a drummer I have no need to roam around the stage so a hard wired option made perfect sense. The P1 is attached to my hi hat stand so it's within easy reach, I made a 6m loom of 2 mic cables and a 9vdc power feed so no batteries are required.

The P1 can operate in either mono or stereo - Stereo in ear monitoring is an absolute joy, this achieves superb separation between guitars and panning for overheads and toms.

Build quality is OK, the volume knobs are good quality.

Sound quality is also very good, no noise even at high volume.

All in all I cannot fault the P1 at all

This product is a great compromise between the price and functionality

Everyone in our band bought the same unit for in-ear monitoring during rehearsals and live gigs. Since it's our first time doing this - we did not want to spend a lot of money on gear right away. For this kind of reason this product is perfect.

Of course the sound quality and the size of the unit leaves room to be desired. Nonetheless, overall build quality and the functionality you can get from the box is all you really need. Definitely recommend if you're still trying stuff out for rehearsing with in-ear monitors.

Great

So good, so cheap. This stays in my bag. I'm a lighting engineer, so occasionally use this for a better foh mix, but also nice to have incase a band need an extra set

Gemakkelijk in gebruik

Good but not enough

P2 is better than P1 because bass frequencies are not enough in p1

Best for a buck

I have this in-ear monitor for years and it has experienced lot of.

For the price, I think its no brainer, its best in this price point. Use for drummer in-ear monitors system, and we use it in stereo.

Con.

About down sides - if you have mic or other stand its verry easy to use, but if hadn't then its not very comfortable. Also then I recommend P2.

Does the trick.

I pair this with Shure In-Ears & an adapter.

I had a fault with the 1st one I purchased, but any others I have tried have been reliable pieces of kit.

No need to spend crazy money on high end versions.

Behringer Powerplay P1.. I definitely recommend

I have got 5 of these for my home studio and they are just wow. Super cool with stereo inputs and sound quality is very good. Build quality is very good. I definitely recommend this product for reasonable and low budget wired In-ear monitoring systems.

Solid mic amp for stage and studio

Very much a utility item - sounds good enough and can easily drive our IEMs - it does the job. My only complaint would be that the battery compartment is quite tight and the 9V sometimes gets stuck inside. We have 5 of these in my band and this problem only happens with two of the units, so I assume it is a manufacturing issue. Still, hard to talk sh** at this price.

It does it's job.

I have several units and it always does my job. The back cover of the battery is indeed not very well made, but it can be easily managed. It has more than enough power to drive your earphones to level that you need. I have used it for many live concerts, relatively quiet and very very loud and never had any problems. The knobs feel okay. It's better to use it with it's adaptor. I always use a new battery in every live performance if I don't use an adaptor. Any wired amp will not be very comfortable. In this respect p1 is as good as it gets.

Finally, always, absolutely every single time, try to protect your ears. First turn on the unit, then put the earphones on the unit with the volume knob at zero, and then put the earphones to your ears. Then start to raise the knob. In my case I raise it very carefully and very rarely over 30%. If you wear the earphones and turn on the unit you will hear a clip. There's no reason for this to happen.

Okay personal headphone amp fro th price

While okay for the price there are some things that could be easily improved:

- battery casing cover is flimsy

- loud pop when powering up (a simple inrush resistor could solve this)

- low quality pots, crackling appeared pretty quickly.

Okay I would say, but no more.
