This product is a great compromise between the price and functionality

Everyone in our band bought the same unit for in-ear monitoring during rehearsals and live gigs. Since it's our first time doing this - we did not want to spend a lot of money on gear right away. For this kind of reason this product is perfect.

Of course the sound quality and the size of the unit leaves room to be desired. Nonetheless, overall build quality and the functionality you can get from the box is all you really need. Definitely recommend if you're still trying stuff out for rehearsing with in-ear monitors.

Gemakkelijk in gebruik

Good but not enough

P2 is better than P1 because bass frequencies are not enough in p1

Best for a buck

I have this in-ear monitor for years and it has experienced lot of.

For the price, I think its no brainer, its best in this price point. Use for drummer in-ear monitors system, and we use it in stereo.

Con.

About down sides - if you have mic or other stand its verry easy to use, but if hadn't then its not very comfortable. Also then I recommend P2.

Does the trick.

I pair this with Shure In-Ears & an adapter.

I had a fault with the 1st one I purchased, but any others I have tried have been reliable pieces of kit.

No need to spend crazy money on high end versions.

It has a lower output volume than the p2

Solid mic amp for stage and studio

Very much a utility item - sounds good enough and can easily drive our IEMs - it does the job. My only complaint would be that the battery compartment is quite tight and the 9V sometimes gets stuck inside. We have 5 of these in my band and this problem only happens with two of the units, so I assume it is a manufacturing issue. Still, hard to talk sh** at this price.

It does it's job.

I have several units and it always does my job. The back cover of the battery is indeed not very well made, but it can be easily managed. It has more than enough power to drive your earphones to level that you need. I have used it for many live concerts, relatively quiet and very very loud and never had any problems. The knobs feel okay. It's better to use it with it's adaptor. I always use a new battery in every live performance if I don't use an adaptor. Any wired amp will not be very comfortable. In this respect p1 is as good as it gets.

Finally, always, absolutely every single time, try to protect your ears. First turn on the unit, then put the earphones on the unit with the volume knob at zero, and then put the earphones to your ears. Then start to raise the knob. In my case I raise it very carefully and very rarely over 30%. If you wear the earphones and turn on the unit you will hear a clip. There's no reason for this to happen.

Show saver

Easy to use, simple, no complicated features, just plug and go, love the panning and mono function

Quality > Price

The only thing to improve is the battery/ PSU. Please don't use 9V battery anymore. AA would be the best size in a show.

Does what it should!

It does what it should, and for the price the overall quality is OK. The only "issue" is that when you power it on (and off as well) the headphones "pop" quite loudly, no matter how low the volume has been set. General construction feels OK, not extraordinarily sturdy but not cheap either. For the price I think it's a good product and would buy again.

Overall good amplifier.

The build is solid, the knobs are pleasant to turn. The sound is good for the price. Only con I found is that the battery compartement is a little small, however with some effort you can fit the baterry in or replace it later. I use this amplifier on rehearsals with my band and on concerts. So far I had no functionality problems whatsoever.

Excellent value for money

This is a well-made unit and should survive a lot of punishment. Two minor issues: my volume knobs became scratchy after only two shows and also you have to be careful when you switch on the unit as a loud pop will come through your in-ear monitors.

A classic price / performance equipment

I bought P1 for the stage, because I couldn't hear the sound of my keyboard from monitors, and it worked. After this device, you'll no longer have to negotiate with the tonemeister to turn your monitor level up... The sound depends on your in-ear or headset headphones but you won't be disappointed if you buy P1.

Great value for money.

I have 3 of theese at have not had a single issue with them.

They are quite big, but sturdy built. The battery compartment and connector seems cheaply built though.

I usually leave the boxes in their original package, occationally the power button may be switch on (during transport) thus draining the battery when stored.

I will buy 2 more.

Very happy with this product!

I'm using in-ear monitoring when performing with my band. When we first started it, we all went looking for a not-too-expensive amplifier that does the job OK. We ended up with this unit from Behringer.

It's not the best one can find, but certainly suits the purpose for a hobbyist.

Pros:

- XLR input

- Mono button (used it yesterday when something in the monitoring went wrong and the bass only came in the left ear)

- More than loud enough, I only need to go halfway

- Works best in combination with a power supply unit (sold separately)

Cons:

- The clip doesn't seem to be very useable. So far I always put the unit on the ground and use an extension cord on my in-ears

- Power supply not included (buy separately!)

A nice secondary in ear system

I only use this rarely as a backup to my wireless in-ear system. As such it does its job. If it had combined XLR/Jack inputs like the Presonus then it would have all features I needed.

Great headphone amp! but weak mono signal, (but i made a solution!)

So i used this as soon i got it ( 2 units ) for a show doing monitoring, the main problem i had was that when im using only 1 Aux out (from X32) into the P1, and using it in mono mode, the signal is too weak. i noticed this when i click the stereo mode, the sound came in from 1 side but louder. Went back home, soldered a 1 Female XLR to 2 Male XLR and tadaaaa, volume improves. however somehow using a stereo (2 channel) mix from x32 still has more output. so if you're planning on getting this i recomend only using it with stereo, if mono, im guessing getting a Behringer P2 would be better, altho ive yet to try that out.

Howeverrrr, if u have already bought it and need a solution, make/get a 1 female to 2 male XLR splitter, it will improve volume by atleast 20% i reckon! Cheers! cant wait to play with it in shows again.

i give 4 star for overall because of the volume issue in mono, belt clip not clipping nicely, sounds pretty good i guess!

Robust metal construction the sound is excellent for the price.

The only tragic spot is the cheap battery lid is simple a crap.

If you use an AC/DC adapter is an excellent choice!
