Behringer PX3000 Ultrapatch Pro 4-stars Reviews
best at the cheap end
not noisy, good features. the inclusion of a switchable modes is very attractive, it woud have been even better if the switch was on the front panel instead of on top, as when you rack mount it the switch gets hidden.
But at the price, who can complain.. You do have the option to switch modes per connector pair, even if you have to fiddle just a bit.
It's Behringer...
It looks sturdy enough and seems well built on the face of it. Out the box it works well and the switches are handy. However, like a lot of Behringer gear, I have yet to find out how long it'll last. For the money, it seems as good or bad as other patch bays in this price range with added functionality of the switches.
does the job
actually pretty decent for the price, no bad surprises so far...
Not the best but very handy and seems quite solid
Using it from some time, it's a nice featured Patch Bay, very handy with the 3 ''mods''. It changed the way i use all the outboard in the studio with synths and a mixer, would recommend you if you're on a low budget
Does what it advertises
Installed in my studio, works as i should with no noise. Limited space for labels.
Unbeatable at this price point
Honestly, its simple to use, lots of features for a patch bay, at this price point it really can't be beaten.
I've had several over the years and some breakdown unexpectedly. It is usually a dodgy solder joint or something whchi is easily repaired.
No real complaints.
Does the job
Likes: Mode switches on the top
Nothing to dislike as it functions as described
Flexible and solid
I have two of these and they both work really well. In the UK they are also holding their value on the secondhand market. So better buy new! I think that they have the designed the front and back around the wrong way, but that may not bother most people.
If you need a patch bay you can't go wrong with this one.
Great patchbay with 3 modes. Saves the input jacks on my pricey mixers and rack units from repeated patching and tidies things up quite a bit. After recently upgrading mixers, I needed to change the modes from normal to pass-thru which took only minutes as opposed to older patch bays I've used that require opening and reversing the jacks.
Seems to be built well enough. I'm no stranger to Behringer gear - some of it is good, some not so much. This one is a winner for sure.
very decent
i can't give it 5 stars because i don't know how it would survive in the long run .. but so far so good .. no hiss no buzz no EMI signal .. i'm living very close to a radio station and close to mobile phone towers .. nothing bad yet.
Does what it says
Good options per channel. Bit of a pain that the switches are on the top so you either need to leave a small gap and use a screwdriver to move them or prepare everything before racking.
Not sure if the crackles and apparently dodgy channels I get are from the ultra patch or from cables (all bought new) which is why i can't confidently give it 5/5 for quality
Additional info after a couple of years... I would hesitate to buy these now, as I need to replacement. He crackles and bad connections are too annoying to live with and have been for a while. If you're an occasional user they're OK, but if you need a professional set up I'd look at something else.
Neat and functional
Have had this product for nearly two years now and it has served me very well with no faults. It would be useful if it came with template stickers to label everything with but some quick googling allowed me to make my own.
It seems to be a little bulky, but really there isn't much more you'd expect from a patch bay!
Else, a class product.
Does the job
Have been using it for four months now and it really does the job in my home studio. Good value for money. I have read a lot of negative reviews about the build quality and bad connectors but I have nothing to complain about so far. I guess I'm lucky
Behringer ultrapatch - great value
When your starting out and need decent quality at affordable price then pieces of kit like the PX3000 are right on the mark - another step in the right direction without breaking the bank!!
Great multi-purpose patch bay
This is a great patch bay with many different applications thanks to the per-channel switching on the top of the unit. It would be handy if the switching could have been on the front or back of the casing since you do actually need to remove it from the rack to change the mode for any of the channels, but otherwise fantastic.
