Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz 4-stars Reviews
Bit one dimensional and flimsy feeling, but amazing for the price.
Stooges/JAMC/Cramps in a box for less money than a couple of beers (if you live in Sweden).
Extreme sounds, but it sounds a little hollow
It's a good pedal for Electric Wizard or Korn extreme fuzz stuff. It's a 2 trick pony, one is the extreme octave fuzz, which sounds good with low power chord doom and such, and the other is using the boost function to get a good crunchy tone. My only gripe is that it sounds kind of hollow, all the tones you get from it. It sounds kinda soulless, which isn't very scientific but you get what I mean. It also colors your tone when not activated quite a bit, like all Behringer pedals. Still, I recommend everyone to try one of these, especially considering the price.
Price/Quality ratio, Extremely Aggressive FUZZ !!!
Perhaps this is the most aggressive distortion I have ever heard, or rather FUZZ ... This is an almost perfect replica, although if it were made in an iron box, the price would be much higher. I'm completely satisfied with the sound and it's interaction with the synthesizer, I don't use it for guitar but for the synthesizer or modules it is very cool for such a price!
Overall it is very good
Both the fuzz flavors and the boost are very tasty and usable.
Except the fact that it is plastic and therefore less durable than a metal enclosure, an issue that I found is that it colors the sound slightly even when it's off.
Hyper fuzz for cheap
This beringer's one is one of a kind pedal. You get a GREAT tone I would say identical to the HYPER FUZZ for only a fraction of the price. Sooo gooood sound in such a flimzy box that feels so cheap but you know what? IT IS soooo cheap so it is OK! I love the oportunity beringer is giving to new players to experince great tones in such an affordable price!
Very versatile fuzz
Probably one of the most versatile fuzz in this price range, usable with guitar and bass.
Not too bad
Sounds quite good, worth the money
Excelent for the price
This is a clone of a very well known fuzz pedal that is no longer made, and for the price, it's excellent. You have two fuzz modes: the 1st is mid focused and the 2nd is scooped. You also get a boost mode. But this pedal has a secret fuzz mode: if you can find the right position between the 1st and 2nd fuzz modes, you get a 3rd one. How cool is that?
The definitive gateway drug for fuzz
Whats not to like about it? Its a cheap Fuzz that will thicken your sound and make your neighbors hate you!
Great pedal for an Electric Wizard tone
This pedal sounds extremely similar to the electric Wizard tone. The boost is very well done and is very useful. The 2 fuzz channels sound great too. The only downside of this pedal is that it is made from a cheap feeling plastic, but it is a great pedal for the price.
Sounds really great, but the enclosure is super cheap plastic. I would not gig it without rehousing it.
Great little Pedal!
Great little pedal, I use it on bass and it sounds nasty (In the best way). However it cuts a little too much bass for my liking when playing live but it's great for recording and just to have as an extra flavour. Can you really complain at this price point!
Warm and Fuzzy
For me it is an occasional treat but a fine addition to the recording arsenal. For the price of a takeaway.
Its good for as a taste
I wanted to get a fuzz pedal but didn't want to spend loads on one to find out later that I didn't like fuzzes so I bought this to see how I liked the fuzz sound. This has a very aggressive fuzz on both fuzz 1 and 2, the gain control doesn't really affect the intensity of the fuzz but rather is like an overdrive going on top of a fixed fuzz setting, I would have loved to have had a control for the fuzz intensity.
The third mode for the pedal is the boost which is quite good. The pedal is made with cheap feeling components e.g the plastic enclosure and the stiff controls. If you are wanting something to play around with and see if you like harsh fuzzes I would recommend this, if you are looking for a boost I would get something else as it isn't made as a boost primarily and so you would find better more versatile boosts elsewhere.
High end FUZZ
I use this to get a smooth "desert rock" fuzz vibe going. Very useable fuzz to fill out your overall tone. I dialed the gain (fuzz) down to 9-10 o'clock, treble @ 2-3 o'clock and bass @ 1 o'clock and you are in "Sky Valley" territory. The boost selection is amazing, the pedal is worth the price if all you wanted it for was a boost pedal. the level knob allows you to get nice fuzzed out tones at bedroom levels. Crank the gain and you are in DOOM territory. still very useable, much more useable than so called Boutique pedal that are usually only noise machines. I would give this 5 stars if it had a metal enclosure. The plastic enclosure seems VERY durable for home use, but not sure how it would stand up for a regular gigging musician. Extremely happy with my Super Fuzz.
Electric Wizard...
Awesome pedal for those who like to create the Electric Wizard sound. It is based on the sound of the Boss FZ-2. But a lot cheaper. Did I mention the Electric Wizard sound?
The fuzziest, not sure how it compares to more expensive items but again, does what it needs to do for a lot less.
Versatile and good sounding
I love how good this thing sounds with analog synths. I give it a solid 4/5. One star reduced because the case is made from plastic and also the bypass switch and pots are not of high quality. Otherwise I am very pleased.
some good sounds can be found
seems to give better results with single coil pickups and cheap guitars. Excellent value. pedal switch on-off can be bit iffy, requires a good clean stomp.
Very nice, a perfect FZ-2 clone.
Excellent but loses a star for plastic construction, so has a shorter life expectancy if gigging a lot.
If only for bedroom use its a 5 star.
