Great pedal - get one!

Well... I'm not much into fuzzes (yes, I know, spank me), hence the 4-stars on "Handling". It's a FZ-2 inspired pedal. It sounds cool, you can get some good sounds out of it. You have a switch with 2 modes, but if you carefully place it "in the middle", you can engage a 3rd mode (maybe 2 circuits in parallel?). So, you get 3 pedals for the price of one! It's a Behringer pedal, so, made out of plastic. I don't plan on go touring with it in my pedalboard, so, I think it will be quite durable. But I wouldn't trust the longevity of it should it get stomped on all the time. So, I only rate "Quality" with 4-stars.

Budget Excellence

As a first step into Fuzz, no one can do better than Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz for the price. So many YT reviews. It's a no1 pedal for a reason.

Jo

Looking for a Brian Gregory, Poison Ivy type sound, this is nothing like It. The Harley Benton vintage overdrive sounds much better.

I hate to admit it but …

The sound on this super cheap Behringer (I really dislike their business model …) is up there with boutique Fuzzes 5-10 times the price. It feels super cheap feeling and plastic, but the sound and range of tones for dense wall of sound Fuzz lovers is crazy!

Bit one dimensional and flimsy feeling, but amazing for the price.

Stooges/JAMC/Cramps in a box for less money than a couple of beers (if you live in Sweden).

Extreme sounds, but it sounds a little hollow

It's a good pedal for Electric Wizard or Korn extreme fuzz stuff. It's a 2 trick pony, one is the extreme octave fuzz, which sounds good with low power chord doom and such, and the other is using the boost function to get a good crunchy tone. My only gripe is that it sounds kind of hollow, all the tones you get from it. It sounds kinda soulless, which isn't very scientific but you get what I mean. It also colors your tone when not activated quite a bit, like all Behringer pedals. Still, I recommend everyone to try one of these, especially considering the price.

Good sounds

Very nice fuzz for people who want only to try it… boost option is great.

Bought for the secret setting

It was cheap, hyped, so I bought one. The inbetween setting is awesome for alternative/grunge tunes and for that only it was worth enough to buy it. Will have to experiment with the other 3 settings too.

this sould not be that cheap

Its hard to believe you can get this kind of sound with a cheap pedal like this. I am very impressed, because i was expecting a mediocre product that sort of gets the job done, but this was far from true. You can get a lot of doom/sludge sounds out of this pedal.

Super FUZZZZZZZZ....

Great Fuzzzzz for the price...

More fun than fuzzes three times the price.

The is a lovely little fuzz, a joy to play with. And versatile too, from doom to classic rock, it’s easy to dial in your favourite tone.

It is plastic though, and feels fragile, so probably best for around the house, I wouldn’t trust it for out and about. But, come on, can’t complain at that price.

It does it all

I guess synth hobbyists are easier to please than guitar folk. Synths and drum machines sound amazing thru this, I once tried stereo distortion of my drumbrute with this on one channel and the Behri bass overdrive on the other. Fuuun. They're 'cheaply' made but haven't had any reason to think they won't last, especially for desktop use.

Stevige pedaal - eenvoudig van bediening

Ben nog maar pas aan de pedalen geslagen. Een hele wereld is voor me opengegaan.

De Super Fuzz is meteen een van mijn favorieten. Makkelijk aan te sluiten, what you see is what you hear.

Superb value

3 different fuzz’s in one box .. For the money you can’t go wrong !!!

Basically a carbon copy of the FZ-2

The enclosure is like all other Behringer pedals, plastic but with a heavy plate at the bottom. The enclosure won't break unless you mean to do it. Otherwise it's practically a 1:1 clone of the Hyper Fuzz, with the "in-between modes" and everything.

oh, so this is for guitars?

...I'm using it to add a bit of presence to a monphonic synthesizer.

As such, it is a "desktop pedal" and the plastic build is of no concern to me - I might replace the switch at some point for something with more positive feedback though.

Sound-wise, no complaints: the SF300 adds fuzz for days.

A bit of low-fi, low-priced green distortion on the side, and my tame, bubbly monosynth turns into a screaming beast very reliably - and with a good degree of control, once you've found the sweet spots. Protect your ears, things get loud.

As a former FZ-2 owner....

I can tell you this absolutely sounds identical. Don't let the housing material scare you. There are zero reports of these things breaking.
