Can't go wrong for that small price

I've never had the change to try the original boss hyperfuzz, but this pedal sounds good on its own. Massive sound on the first fuzz mode wich my favorite.

Quality construction is ... well... plastic. But to be fair, mine is still in one piece after quite some stomps.

For such a small price, this pedal is big fun

What is NOT to love?

This is a stunner! Extremely versitile from insane fuzz to a nice mildly drive sound!

I believe this is a direct copy of a Boss FZ-2!

Highly recommended to spice up some blues or go full out fuzz city!

Great fun to throw in the mix!

Dopethrone on the cheap

If you like Electric Wizard then the Fuzz 2 setting on this will help you get the tone from Dopethrone. I am not a fan of the Fuzz 1 setting, a lot of people rate the boost option but I have not used it enough to comment.

It's a clone of the boss fz-2 hyper fuzz. I've heard this pedal plenty of times and cannot tell a difference between it and this.

Enclosure is plastic but so far seems durable and considering the price the use of this material is fine.

A hidden gem!

Based on the univox super fuzz and adding some, this pedal is very versatile and delivers dirty to musical fuzz with everything inbetween. And it's a steal for this money! A must have.

Exceptional for the price!

I'm playing multiple guitar/ pickup combinations through this to a Boss Katana 50 MKII and I haven't found one I didn't like yet. I've tried a project Glarry Tele with upgraded electronics and pickups, LP's with humbuckers and an HB JA-60 with P-90's. The controls are smooth and responsive and I love the switchable fuzz style settings, although I wish it was a toggle instead of the small switch so it could be changed by foot instead of having to bend down to the pedal. I'm a big fuzz fan and I love the different sounds I can get from this. It can get muddy and sloppy when close to max, but I'm running the knob at about the 1 o' clock position. The case is plastic but it seems sturdy enough for my home use.

I'd definitely recommend it as a very cheap way to get some very nice fuzz!

Great fun, brilliant value

Can’t fault this pedal for the price. The quality is fine and it should last many years but it’s not the indestructible metal housing we normally see, hence only 3 stars. The sound is perfectly decent and has some flexibility too.

Excellent alternative to the Boss FZ2.

Yes the enclosure is plastic. But as long as you don't jump on it, it will last. If it does break, it is dead easy to replace.

It sounds exactly like what you would expect. Try a blind test comparison between this one and the Boss on Youtube, the sound is the same.

Like many I bought this for my Doom need, that Electric Wizard tone and it does the job perfectly.

A great pedal for a great value.

Want Cheap and good? Buy it!

Dude, listen to me. Do you want a good Fuzz for almost no money at all..buy this fuzz. This is a clone of the Boss FZ-5 which is legendary. It sounds almost identical, and it costs five times less. There is only one thing that is kinda bad..and that is that its case is made of plastic. But trust me, for this kind of money, THERE IS NO PEDAL BETTER THAN THIS. Dude..buy it. You need it. It will MELT YOUR FACE OFF.

Amazing value for money

As a pedal based on the hyper-fuzz by BOSS, which in turn is based on Univox Super Fuzz from back in the day, it's got the sounds for sure. And the value for money is off the charts of course, and that alone makes this a worthwhile purchase. Especially if you've never used fuzz before, or if you only use it sparingly, and you can't justify spending your precious pedal budget on a £400 fuzz pedal (with you). It's made of plastic, and the tonal varieties aren't huge, and the second mode just basically sounds the same whatever you do to it. But the first mode for pure out and out fuzz is perfect.

Great sound

I really liked the sound of this fuzz pedal through a vintage Marshall tube amp and an old Fender Musicmaster but I really dislike the plastic construction. It's hard to imagine that it could last as long as for instance a Boss pedal, but that is an issue that time will tell.

Great for the price

This pedal does not disappoint. A bought it four the fun, had a few shin ei clone already, this one is cool. The gain goes very far, further than the classic sound, even if it can easily become a mess. Its a fuzz harder to tame than it seems but with a lot of capabilities. Plastic can look cheap but its sturdy.

fantastic sensibly priced fuzz

this is the best fuzz for start for anyone, but also a very nice fuzz for experts

the sounds are very good but not as tweakable, i mean they have their sound and character

quality is good, the only thing i dont like much is the experience with the knobs... they are not much sturdy and confortable

I can recommend this pedal to anyone, the price is great and will deliver a lot of fun

If you want a dependable fuzz pedal, don't buy this one

Housing is cheap plastic, there is no click sound when you turn it on/off. I dropped it from 30 cm and the spring is already deformed, doesn't go down as it used to be. The tone is not pleasing, I tried it wit h a strat and a humbucker guitar, still the tone is terrible. In short, don't waste your money event if it's the cheapest fuzz on the market.

A bit of a Monster

It sounds a bit brutal: sharp with leads and like something is breaking with chords. Lacks a bit definition but that goes with the extra fuzz bargain. It does need some level boosting to cut through your bandmates and it feels as some frequencies have disappeared but this is possibly part of the charm as well. All this is from the first Fuzz, for the second one, I do not care much, and I do not see the need for a boosted one, but that might be just me.

For the price you can't go wrong

Right now Behringer is known for its affordable pedals that sound like other, famous and often expensive and/or discontinued pedals. The Super Fuzz is Behringers response to the suddenly super popular Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz, which can be found in the used market for several hundred dollars or euros. The SF300, despite being incredibly cheap, gets incredibly close to the FZ-2 in all of its 3 modes. So if you like the FZ-2, chances are you will also like the SF300.

But this type of fuzz is not for everyone: it's *not* Pink Floyd or the Rolling Stones. This is an insane, extreme, heavy fuzz that is better suited for more aggressive music such as stoner metal, just like the FZ-2 that inspired it and that was made into a modern classic by bands like Electric Wizard and Monolord.

The only downsides are that the pedal case is plastic (somewhat heavy duty, but plastic nonetheless) and that is not true bypass.

As an FZ-2 alternative it performs great, and at this price it's a steal. Like I said, this is a stoner metal fuzz, and if that's what you're into then get one before they run out.

Fuzzy

Enjoying using it as a send for synths and drums. Sound is good and case although plastic is solid enough for me. For the money you might as well try.

Classic Fuzz on a budget

Behringer rules in the world of cheap pedal clones, and if you ever wanted to try one of the most classic fuzz pedal, but could not afford it, this is the perfect way to play with it, and experience an iconic sound.

Electric wizard

Electric wizard in a box. can't go wrong

FUZZ!

This cheap little fuzz pedal has all the features a fuzz pedal should. Volume, gain, treble and bass knobs make it tweak-able and highly useful. The 3 different settings (fuzz1/fuzz2/boost) deliver different flavors of old-school fuzz sounds and, obviously, a more straight forward boost feature. Its got plenty of volume and gain. It didn't do to well on bass, but that's another story.

Btw. Fuzz 2 setting takes you straight into Electric Wizard territory, great fun.

YES.

Two different fuzz tones AND a boost?

For £20 +?

Superb value. I read a few people say its not cased well - it is. It may not be as sturdy as a lot of modern pedals but this isn't breaking on you.

Superb value for money.
