Behringer TD-3-SR Reviews
Can't beat the price
Amazing little machine, really fun to play with and you really can't beat the price.
i love this TD, it is spot on just like the old TB303.
Excellent packaging secure and safe
After purchase and playing around with this I was very surprised by the sound was amazing. I have never owned an original TB303 only heard it but comparing the two it is hard to tell which is which. The unit itself is light and works perfect via midi and sounds amazing filters are excellent the only thing this unit is missing is effects would make it even a more amazing product. Overall I am completely satisfied and would recommend anyone to try out this unit for themselves you would be glad you did.
Nice little acid bassline machine
This does what it has to do at a very good price.
Box full of magic
I love my behringer TD-3-SR so much. It plays really nicely and it came perfectly packaged.I would recommend this product to anyone that was looking for this type of kit. 😋
should have been a legend
do not get me wrong here, for the price it's excellent
but
it's very complex to use, not at all intuitive
and the ACID filter do not scream as much as modern synths do
Volca's are more extreme in that sense
the build is plasticy plastic light but, so far no issue
Cheap build but value for money

Great sounding TB-303 clone
This is a great sounding TB-303 clone, the best out there to my opinion. Soundwise, as well as pricewise. A must for every electronic music producer.
Deliver the TB-303 sound with dirt cheap price.
Could have been made with higher quality and after some time on the bench I really miss the mix input and that it is not battery powered.
So a star on the feature is removed from my initial review.
it does the job
it simply does a good job at making the acid sound. build material is a homage to the origional. good for the price. a great clone.
Super great for the price
The box is light, and feels much like a toy, but the sound works great in the mix.
Mostly use it in live arrangement but have recorded it aswell. It comes with a handy free plugin to create patches since programming it on the fly is a bit of a nightmare for those who are not well versed in the original 303 patching.
But i´d say not to let that scare you off since the quality of the unit compared to the price is a no-brainer.
I´d easily replace it with a new one if it ever breaks.
The sound is really great. It´s less "personal" than its original version from Roland since it´s less round and "wet", but it´s super great for those who don´t want to pay 10-15x the amount for an old possibly dodgy unit.
nice one!
Im very pleased with the results I'm getting with recreating the iconic ravey 303 sound! very convincing! the distortion type is also perfectly matched for that specific sound. saving sequences via the sequencer tool and writing sequences in a "piano roll" style is a timesaver! the only thing I don't like is the big analog pitch drift. Before I record anything I have to fine tune it with my Daw's tuner. no usb cable included. I think behringer should also have more video content in synthtool quick start guide so that we dont have to rely on individual walk thru's on Youtube!
TD 3
Pure sound of ACID, really nice product. Never ending fun for dj and producers !
No brainer - the best clone yet
For years I have looked at and pondered the various clones that have been made of the (in)famous Roland TB-303. I'm sure I'd bought one sooner. But the price point was always just out of reach. I resigned to using ABL3 Computer Bassline which until now has sated my desire for the 303 sound. Along comes Behringer with their take on this highly desirable aging, quirky machine. I am a child of the Acid House era. As soon as I heard a 303 I've longed for my own. And this ticked all the boxes. The sound is as close as you'll ever get to the original. Programming it has been kept to the original's specification (painful), which will put some off. But this is what I wanted too in a masochistic way. Finally the price made it an absolute no brainer to buy instantly.
Everyone needs a 303. Right?
A dream come true
Its genuinely hard to believe that they managed to get the unique TB-303 filter, CV outs and distortion circuit, along with the original sequencer, into a box at this price. That it sounds almost indistinguishable is nearly secondary - this thing is a fraction of the price of the MC-303, half the price of the x0xb0x (*and pre-assembled) and honestly on par if not better than anything out there 303 wise at the moment.
Even if it didn't sound *that* good you'd be delighted with a piece of hardware with those capabilities at pound shop prices. Now realise that it can be seen in the likes of Carl Cox's live rigs in conjunction with things likes Moogs DFAM and 10,000 euro modular rigs and you begin to understand what a revelation this is.
Buy one. Scroll through factory preset patterns. Start twiddling the cutoff and resonance. Realise you have a big dirty smile on your face. Start trying to reason to yourself that another one is definitely justifiable at this price.
Norman Cook had it almost right - everybody needs a TD-3.
Affordable Acid
Nice entry level 303-clone. Hav had it for a year, still works well even with a lot of traveling and live-gigs. A bit og a hassle to understand the programming part of the sequencer, but just like biking, once you got it, you will never unlearn it.
I would wish that it was heavier tough, because it feels like it is just a hollow case... maybe I will put some weights on it just to make it feel more robust.
Affordable Clone
Ideal and affordable clone of the original 303.
For the price, good value

No brainer for the price
What the headline says, a no brainer for the price .... a nice copy of the original ... but still the casing is so light and plastic .... and i already see people modding these
The real 303 power!
I am very satisfied with the Behringer TD-3-SR, Very nice sound very close to teh original Roland 303. ;) Recommended!
