Simple plug and play device that performs well for streaming

We used some of these in our radio studios to connect to a recording/streaming server to our sound desk (for internet broadcast and broadcast archiving), and another was used to take the output from a presenters' PC providing audio during broadcasts.

They've performed reliably as long we've had them, not causing any issues since we've started their use.

Pros:

- Good sound quality

- Plug and play operation

- Extremely reliable

Cons:

- None!

Value for money

Great little soundcard, perfect for using with dj controllers in both live gigs and for streaming. This little card does everything you will need at fantastic price, plug n play that simple.

I used this interface unit for recording drums through old analog mixer and with this device I had no problem doing this job. All in all, helpful device for great price.

Sacrificing quality for portability.

I don't think the audio quality is good, it's hard to ask for better audio quality at that price, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Great for USB interface of an analog PA system

I ordered this for our band's goal to record some demo songs using an old school analog PA mixer. We only wanted to have a stereo sound, especially for the drums. Within this scope, we were very happy how well if worked out with the UCA222. Very easys to use, just plug and play with the computer, no tedious driver installations or anything - it just basically becomes a microphone.

Of course, you can't expect multitrack recording with ability to control every single channel via the computer - we really did it old school on the PA mixer!

Great product for a great price.

Perfect external sound card still working after lots of roadtrips

I use this soundcard on the road to record to, or play from, my computer. The little usb soundcard has never let me down. It is very well build and keeps working even though I am not handling it with much care after all these years. Only one minor: Installing the right drivers for the right computer is an absolute pain. But once that is done, you will love this device.

Quick and easy

I needed a cheap device providing me a S/PDIF output under Linux and Windows PCs.

Since it is class compliant no drivers are needed and the digital output works just fine. Only one thing to mention is that there is no master volume control using the S/PDIF output (it is either on or off). However within a player this is still possible.

Also the interface looks a lot more high-quality than in the pictures.

If your goal is to have a reliable soundcard to use on stage, this is not the product you should be looking for. This is the soundcard you need in case all you want to do is fix an audio wiring problem or play a DJ set for friends and family. As a professional tool, it simply doesn't work, but its priced accordingly.

Nice handy Soundcard

I use this for live streaming, never use a laptop with internal soundcard, this works fine... although there can be some issues with the volume control.... its kinda low...

Great deal

Great USB interface, have been using it for everything from my guitar, keyboard, controller, to djing. It is a sturdy son of a gun so it takes all the ruffling and bangs while being transported. And works fine with Audacity, Prologic and Ableton.

a handy unbalanced/spdif interface

I bought this USB interface to get an unbalanced -10dB input to my DAW (carillon AC1),My previous A/D converter died after 15yrs (old cd recorder)

It took some tweeking but there's a direct 48Khz output.

I'd prefer a dedicated driver/user interface to rout audio etc, but for -£30 ..an excellent job.

very happy

Behringer U-Control UCA222

This interface is easy to use and quiet. It works perfectly between my Behringer pmp4000 mixer and my laptop for recording purposes. I would like the headphone output a little louder, but it is a good value product

UCA222

I was looking for affordable price for an audio interface where I can connect to my computer and record some of my music mix-s and some of my demos.

The U-Control UCA222 does it job very good, very low latency, 2RCA line in to connect for recording proposes or for what ever you need, 2RCA line out for monitoring if you want also line out headphone with volume control.

Easy to use, just connect in to your computer the UCA222 Play, Record and U Control ... high quality of sound

Magique

This little piece of hardware does wonders for people who do not want to use their onboard soundcard, or are beggining to record non-acoustic instruments. Also, with it's inputs, you can connect any mixing desk to your computer: record a jam session with ease, or your own experimentations, one layer at a time :)

Superb quality for the price, used it for years without problems, as it's pretty much Plug&Play!

This is where to begin.
