Great compact Desk

Can't complain about this desk really. great value, packed full of features and has a massive capability.

Build quaintly is the only down side, but if you look after it with a good flight case will serve you well.

I've had this product for over a year now and has done a good 70 events. no problems yet.

Very Great quality for it's price

For it's price, it is economically unbeatable for getting a digital mixer for a low price. The number of channels at it's price and it's features are great for this price. The name behringer may be a point of doubt for you to buy this but it is truly worth it. On the downside, it's features are there but still quite lacking.

Good Value

For the money its got alot of punch even after all this time. With the latest firmware the final software annoyance has been fixed. Miss the touch screen of a GLD but cant have everything.

Great value

It's pretty incredible a digital mixer can do these days at that price point. Very easy workflow, good amount of effects and good sounding pre-amps. I've ordered several of these for installs and use one myself as my main mixer. Pairing this with an S16 and controlling everything via CAT5E cable is just so unbelievably convenient. Been using the same unit for 5 years now with no issues.

Great machine

Coming from an analogue panel, it's a pleasure to work with. Many features, nice automated faders, scribble strip and much much more. Nearly everything is positive.

Some small disappointments found (yet):

- multiple headphone jacks - good, but made inside the handles so we had to get the jack converters out with pliers (could be only us though)

- built-in usb recorder records in 1536kbps files, which is so much more than we need, and it slows down the file transfer time to storage media. Cannot change this as far as I know.

- fader knobs sometimes wiggle out of position, but are easy to push back.

Note that these comments should not be the factor to not buy this mixer! We don't have any regrets on buying this and are using it happily in our church.

This is a must have digital mixer

Hello, this is an awesome digital mixer, i have waited for two weeks but it's worth the wait. I really wanted this model because this is the same model we used in out masterclass held in the Philippines. I went there for a month just to have this kind of training. I will use this for sounds rental as it has a good performance whether in churches, classrooms , small to big events like with the live band. Most of your questions in handling the features are on you tube and in their websites.

So far, there is no cons for me . 16 mic inputs plus 6 Auxiliary inputs are enough for me with 8 outputs.

I am considering to make it to full 32 inputs when the right time comes. I will buy S16 digital snake in the future.

You will never regret to own this digital mixer. I am not fond of touch screen. If something went wrong with the screen, it is useless unless you will control it via Ipad or smartphone/tablet. I really love this. It is a wise investment also.

Close to one of the best pieces of tech I've ever bought for the money

The other reviews say it all. Features and quality for nothing-money (relatively speaking!).

Get the package with the S16 stage box and the Thon flight case and you're set up for good.

Now I just need to sell all of the outboard I no longer need...

X32 Compact

Very happy with the Compact version of the X32. I bought the S32 stage box at the same time and together have hands on control of all 32 inputs and 16 outputs. I use this in my studio to record and have been very happy with the results from using the X32 as an audio interface. I have also made use of the ability to record live gigs simply plugging in my laptop via USB. Cant fault the desk. Very happy with all the results this desk has been involved in the production of.

The best desk in its price range, and the one above it!

The things you can do with this desk are limitless. I love it and would recommend for any application. You can only tell that it costs less if you were doing a straight up live comparison with a £6500 desk.

Best Price / Quality Ratio Digital Mixer

We are using X32 Compact with 2 x Behringer S16 Stage Box and it is everything you need for: Full 32 channels connected by 1 single Cat5 cable. The sound is good and also the effects and the workflow. The rest are just details.

As I said in the title it is the best digital mixer as price / quality ratio.

I did little recording too. The setup was quite easy.

Unbeatable in its price range

I can not praise this mixer enough, the Behringer x32 Compact is really unbeatable in its class. Routing options are literary limitless the effects are awesome and quality is great.

I have tested recording in to my DAW with it and compared the recording with my Focusrite its simply spot on. The midas engineered preamps are great.

The best at this price

Firstly, like everybody says, you need to forget the stereotypes about Behringer when it comes to the X32 products. I bought this Behringer x32 compact mixing console 5 months ago and I can say that the build quality is very good and it never crashed, which I didn't expect because some persons said that it will be slow and sometimes it will not respond to the commands from a tablet or phone, but I didn't experienced any of this faults so far.

Quality

As I wrote before, this mixer console is well built and the materials from which is constructed are durable, the faders moves very easily, as well as the potmeters.

Sound

The preamps are very good, they sound great and clear.

Effects

I haven't tried many effects of this mixer, I like the stereo delay and vintage reverb which I use on the vocals, they sound good, and you can modify the parameters easily.

The compressor and the gate are easy to use and they do their job, the EQ can be adjusted easily.

I like that it has a scenes section and you can change the saved scenes very quickly.

I think this unit worth the price, and in this price range it is the best. I recommend for anybody who is looking for a cheaper but very good digital mixing console.

I use it in a studio for recording purpose. Serves my need as a pre amp and sound card. Also since I have a jam room I can control them on wireless. Also using it as a control surface. Its an all in one piece of machine easy to operate and multiple functions capability. The input and output fader section is big advantage, though we can use all 16 faders as either only input or output.

They used to say.......

I first posted this quick review mistakenly in the X32 Compact Case section (which I have to add is a very good case having purchased one).

FOH for a local band, I was pointed toward this desk by another FOH sound guy who mixes named bands for a living and told to ignore the Behringer name. How right he was, 15 months down the line with one and no complaints. Loads of FX and EQ's built in, knobs feel responsive and precise and the 7 inch screen is easy to read when on individual page. You can save and swap scene setups quickly. I save the settings from every place the band plays so that next time we play there I can reload and have a base setup to quickly work with. It can be a bit of a tricky learning curve at first, remembering where every layer and settings lurk, but you can set custom buttons to quickly go to the things you use most during a show (these are also saved within the scenes). Overall you cannot get better for the price.

I was a Allen & Heath diehard (still have one as backup), but I now can set up in 1/4 of the time (usually less) ready for sound check. Thank you Behringer / Midas.

For the money, you can't beat it

You really can't beat this console when it comes down to it. It's very easy to use and sounds very good for the price range. Very user friendly and you can hand anyone an iPad and they can easily mix a show with it.
