Studio standard

What can I said more... they are good for anything. For recording vocals & instruments, mixing check for low end (if you are not sure about your room frequency anomalies and do not have a very good acoustic treatment), even for drummers for drum recording (there are better ones but these can make job done well). If you have laptop or not have kind of hi end headphone preamp, just make sure you buy 32ohm version, which need less push to get louder sound. Plus if you have any room correction software for headphones I am almost 100% sure that there is already preset for DT-770 headphones in it. I wish the company would make an option with a connector on the headphones so that the cable can be replaced if it is damaged and that you can use another one (longer, better,...) , that can be inserted and that there is no need to disassemble the headphones if the cable is damaged. Thats why 4 stars

Fixed cable....

If only the cable could be plugged/replaced like many similar competitor's products. There must be a rationale behind, but I can't find it. Apart from that, amazing sound!

Extremely comfortable

The headphones are a different level of comfort I hadn't experienced before, I'm really glad with the purchase. The 80ohm is also great for being able to run it without an amp but having the option to. It sounds very good and not too bass-heavy.

Good quality overall low end is not the best expected to be better but sounds great for the price range.

Ich habe neue Kopfhörer für Live/FOH gesucht. Idealerweise sollte das neue Paar auch zum Abhören bei Aufnahmen verwendet werden, insbesondere bei relativ feinen Signalen bei lautem Abhören (z. B. Stimmen auf Musik).

Meine klangliche Referenz waren HD 650. Der Vergleich ist etwas Äpfel zu Birnen, da HD 650 von offener Bauart sind, aber zu irgendwas muss sich ja relativ eingeordnet werden.

Hier ein paar schnelle Eindrücke zum DT-770 Pro 80 Ω: Mir zu sehr Badewannenfrequenzgang. Sub-Hype, Brillanz-Hype. Höhen papierartig und nervig mit Musik.

Räumlichkeit ähnlich zu HD 650, aber etwas weniger groß/hoch.

A bit of disappointment

I got a pair of DT-770 80 Ohm as they are closed headphones and total best seller. They are very comfortable for wearing but sound is far from what I expected. A bit muddy and lots of mid and bass, feels like they are missing the high frequencies. I also got AKG K-702 (by recommendation) that are absolutly fab! If u're not looking for closed headphones in perticular u might want to consider the K-702.

Great sound

Love that it is very comfortable to wear and has a long cable, gives great sound too perfect for my bass practice.

Sound fantastic - Watch out for the Cable

Fantastic sound from these cans - used by pretty much every studio i've been to; and it shows with how decent the sound quality is. wonderfully flat and very responsive.

My only gripe would be the fact that the manufacturer didn't knot the cable before closing the headphones up - so as an avid wheely-chair user to navigate my studio, catching the cable under the wheels one day only for the cable to rip the contacts clean off the PCB inside was a moment of horror as they had become irreparable.

If you have a wheely chair or clumsy feet - i'd recommend getting the higher end beyerdynamic models with the removable / replaceable mini XLR cable to save you the heartache of breaking these fantastic headphones

Otherwise, if you're sensible and keep the cable in mind these will serve you very well.

Comfort

I feel pain because of the band on my head and it can be a bit annoying, it may be more comfortable for you, my head is a little big. Other than that, excellent headphones.

Comfy king!

Can't go wrong with DT-770 Pro! Great for checking your mixes, great for listening music, great for monitoring while recording or playing guitar/bass or pretty much anything. Easy to buy spare parts, easy to clean. And it's the king of comfort. The only downside is bulid quality. It is robust but could be better, especially the cable. BUT for the price can't beat this one!

Not Impressed

Read all the hype and reviews but I can honestly say they are not the best sounding headphones. Lack bottom and top frequencies. Probably best suited to tracking with their flat response. On the plus side they are well built and comfortable. Update... Maybe you just get used to them after a while or they need to be burned in, but they have grown on me and sound better than before.

Excess midrange boost

Gets me completely tired after 30 minutes. Suitable only for analyzing mid frequencies in a mix as if under a microscope.

Great product for this money

Excellent and clear sound for monitoring editing and recording vocals. Smooth frequency response. 80 ohms are good for most sound cards. The only negative is that they are quite tight and tight around my head. Because of this, over time, the head begins to get tired. I'll try to loosen them up.

Quality headphones with bass punch.

Amazing headphones for any new music enthusiasts. Works from basic listening quality music to producing audio yourself. Sturdy build quality, very good material for ear cups. Bass and high notes are very clear and subtle, although after 4-5 hour sessions ears get a little bit tired, got to take a break. Besides that, a product worth its money, can't get anything better.
