What can I said more... they are good for anything. For recording vocals & instruments, mixing check for low end (if you are not sure about your room frequency anomalies and do not have a very good acoustic treatment), even for drummers for drum recording (there are better ones but these can make job done well). If you have laptop or not have kind of hi end headphone preamp, just make sure you buy 32ohm version, which need less push to get louder sound. Plus if you have any room correction software for headphones I am almost 100% sure that there is already preset for DT-770 headphones in it. I wish the company would make an option with a connector on the headphones so that the cable can be replaced if it is damaged and that you can use another one (longer, better,...) , that can be inserted and that there is no need to disassemble the headphones if the cable is damaged. Thats why 4 stars

Fixed cable....

If only the cable could be plugged/replaced like many similar competitor's products. There must be a rationale behind, but I can't find it. Apart from that, amazing sound!

I'm very happy with these

They are very comfortable and I use them both for tracking mixing. When I take them off and listen in the speakers, there's no surprises so the soundscape inside them translates well to other types devices. My ears are not good enough to taste the delicacy of the real high end stuff, so for me, this is as good as it gets.

My indispensable

The best for their purpose during recording sessions (recording myself). I use them so often that I've even started composing music with them (working with other synth sounds). Overall, they perform their function excellently. And also they block out any nearby noise, it’s very convenient to work with them in any circumstances, which often happens with me.

Best professional Headphones for the price.

I don't think you are able to buy any similar Headphone with this quality for the price. An absolut bang for a buck.

Extremely comfortable

The headphones are a different level of comfort I hadn't experienced before, I'm really glad with the purchase. The 80ohm is also great for being able to run it without an amp but having the option to. It sounds very good and not too bass-heavy.

Clear and comfortable

The sound is flat in my opinion and the ear covers are really comfortable and can be worn for hours without discomfort. Would be more convenient if the cable was removable (and easily replaceable for a coiled cable) but for this price, these are really good headphones.

Good quality overall low end is not the best expected to be better but sounds great for the price range.

Ceci est mon premier "vrai casque". Je ne savais donc pas vraiment à quoi m'attendre mais je suis ravi ! Un confort tout simplement exceptionnel, l'impression de ne rien porter. Un son clair, net et neutre. En fin bref en résumé tout simplement parfait, je recommande.

BUILT LIKE A TANK

Really tough materials for the cups, headband and the cable. Will last you a really long time with great sounding drivers too! Even more comfier when worn in a couple of months/years and doesn't seem easily scratched or damaged due to the metal holding this pair of headphones together! Great for any recording/producing + closed cups for minimal bleed

The best headphones for production

After a lot of hesitation between this and AT, I decided to go with DT-770 and I super happy I did. They are very confortable and I love the sound. You hear every detail when making music and also while gaming.

Too Much Bleed to Use While Tracking Vocals

I was looking for headphones to use as monitors while recording vocals. They sound great but there was too much external bleed to make them suitable for recording. I was rather surprised at he amount of bleed for a closed back model. Returned.

I think best headphones ever made

High quality headphones for every use, priced lower than they should!

The DT-770 are so popular for a reason. The quality is what you would expect from Beyerdynamic: plastic but very solid, sturdy but light. No complaints there whatsoever. Comfort is outstanding. The headband doesn't squeeze the hea, no pain there after even hours. The cushions are the best I have used. Soft and of high quality fabric. If you want a pair of headphones that will still feel comfortable to wear for hours, look no further. The sound is excellent. Mellow and well-balanced, no harshness in any frequencies, no ear fatigue. I use them for music monitoring on my laptop but I also enjoy them for content consumption. What surprised me positively is that they have a decent amount of passive noise dampening. I wasn't expecting this and it's great. The only thing that I was sceptical about before bying them, was if they would be able to adequately drive my Macbook Air without a sound card. Fear not, they are loud enough in the laptop's headphone jack, you won't need more. If you are looking for a great pair of headphones for various uses that are comfortable to wear and don't need an external sound card, look no further. You won't bust the bank neither. Highly recommended!

Bought to use it with my yamaha keyboard whose speakers feel a bit thin.

Headphones deliver rich/full and balanced sound without overwhelming bass. Found myself relistening to old tracks as they give it a fresh feeling, probably the best quality headphones I've ever owned.

A bit hard on ears after the prolonged wearing as they really grip the head, super stable with little environmental noise leakage during the listening session.
