Great headphones

I'm writing this review after 2 years of using these headphones. They sound great, they are really comfortable. They held up great, there aren't many signs of use.

I was worried about cable damage, but that's yet to happen. Still, I'd like these headphones a little bit more if they had exchangeable cable like Audio Technica does

For this price, i recommend these.

And you do get the value for your money.

There are definitely better sounding headphones if you are willing to pay 30-60 euro more, however for this price, im happy with these.

Also its good to have a pair as a reference because a very big part of the industry uses these to listen, record and even mix.

Only minus is not being able to disconnect the cable from the headphones.

Best headphones for recording and engineering

These are very, very comfy, have great isolation and are just a great pair of phones to use for tracking. I record guitar, bass, piano & drums among other things. They're also useful for field recording and some live sound applications. I love them!

Comfy king!

Can't go wrong with DT-770 Pro! Great for checking your mixes, great for listening music, great for monitoring while recording or playing guitar/bass or pretty much anything. Easy to buy spare parts, easy to clean. And it's the king of comfort. The only downside is bulid quality. It is robust but could be better, especially the cable. BUT for the price can't beat this one!

Love the Beyerdynamic dt range

This is the perfect combination of sound quality, comfort, and affordability. I use the dt880 to mix on, I gladly use the dt770 for recording without worrying about bleed from the phones to the microphone. And I feel the dt990 are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. I imagine the really expensive headphones are much better, in fact I have heard crueler headphones fro assessing issues with your mix, but I feel the whole dt range is more than adequate, in fact great to mix on.

Popular for a reason

I do not have extensive experience with many headphones, but these are very comfortable to wear - for longer periods as well. The sound quality seems fine, but I wouldn't say it's high-end. Then again, these aren't really designed for mastering, so they are perfect. The only downside is that the pads need changing, because they get pretty greasy.

No wonder these are used in studios

This is pretty much a classic. I've had these for 5 years now and there's nothing wrong with them nor do I see anything going wrong with them in the forseeable humanity's future.

Sturdy as anything can get in today's world. You'd have to go out of your way to break them.

Sound is good, not really an audiophile but I think with proper push from dac/amp everything is there. Might be more on the bass side, but I feel that's really down to closed back design. They seem fairly balanced.

Comfort might be an issue. If you want headphones that cancel out everything around you, they do that. They do that very well. The problem is if you try to use these headphones for daily use behind PC as you main source of sound. Your head will feel pressed, hot and just a bit uncomfortable after hours of use. Do note, after hours of use which these headphones were not designed to. They are studio headphones and it shows.

It's all more for intermediate dips into music world rather than everyday workhorse that delivers everything for you. Still, really REALLY good headphones.

Fantastic sound, range, and comfort

I bought these to replace some high-end, AKG reference headphones for the home studio and these are just superior in every way. These are solidly built, are nice looking, and the sound is just superb.

I was looking for headphones that not only had a wide frequency range, but were also super comfortable. These certainly fit the bill. The price is more than reasonable (imho an amazing value), especially considering their build quality, comfort and materials feel so superior to my old AKG headphones, which were four times the price.

If you're looking for some great studio headphones, these will not disappoint, especially at this price point and even beyond it. The sound is clear with a wide frequency range, and they're super comfortable and well built.

Note: Be sure you're getting the model with the right impedance for your use. I find 80 is a good middle ground that works on most devices and uses (surprisingly decent even on an iPhone), but I mostly use them in a boosted, studio setting. You should really get the model with an impedance appropriate for your use, but you can't go wrong with these headphones. Excellent.

Worth every penny

Long time user of HD 600 and HD650, wanted to get another pair of headphones for reference and was blown away by the quality. Absolutely the best at this price point.

Comfort over sound?

I don't understand, everyone is praising these headphones, but they don't sound any good in my opinion. I can't differentiate anything in the mix, different bands mixed by different producers sound the same on these headphones. There's no punch, dynamics in the music, the highs are all over the place, the low-mids are muddy, and the bass/subs are really quiet and distorted.

The only great aspects of these headphones is that they are pretty comfortable (little less so with glasses though) and the sound isolation is really good.

The 80 Ohm works fine with a Focusrite 2i2 and also straight into my Thinkpad laptop.

King in headphones world

Those are perfect. Reference sound and you feel like you hear all instruments separately. Very light and comfortable.
