These are exceptionally good headphones!

These headphones sound nothing short of glorious (after letting them burn in of course). Although they may not have have a hyped low end or mid range, they are incredibly detailed and you start to hear things in music that you wouldn’t have heard before (for example you will be able to hear each individually instrument clearly in a mix and you be able to hear every single detail in vocal, so much so that it may sound a little weird.). The build quality of these headphones is amazing and after a few days of consistent use they begin to break in and become very comfortable. One thing that could potentially be a problem is the 3 meter long cable, it comes in very handy but I can be difficult to deal with at times. Overall, I highly recommend these headphones as they are incredible, especially considering the price.

Might be the best headphones for the price

I finally decided to make the jump from gaming headsets to a professional set.

After some googling and some discussing with friends, I narrowed it down to the ATH M50 and the DT-770pro 80. After reading a bit more about them and seeing what people think and what might be the best choice for me, I decided to go with the 770.

The metal construction is very nice and solid, the ear cushions are great and also large enough to go around my ears, so I can use them for hours without feeling any stress or pain in my ears.

I use them for games, music and playing guitar through plugins using my Focusrite 2i2 G2.

The cable is long enough so you'll always have enough length to move around, the only downside that I can think of is that the cable is not detachable so that might be a problem if you don't watch your cable and damage it.

It really helped my dial my guitar tone better as now I can clearly hear if there's any noise or static coming through and I can also hear myself better when I play so I can correct my mistakes, which makes for better practice.

All in all I'm very happy with these... Even went ahead and bought two of them, one for the wife. She also loves them!

Awesome for recording, not recommended for mixing

The headphones are very to give to a vocalist for recording - there is less bleed in the mic than other models. I also like the big earpads.

I wouldn't recommend to mix on them though. The issue I have is that panned content sounds much louder than stuff in the centre. I didn't have this issue with other headphones. This will influence your balance decisions and will cause issues with translation. They're ok to reference low end for example, but I have to force myself to ignore the mid/side thing.

I bought these headphones for my home studio and I have to say that they are quite amazing. The first that you notice is comfortable they are. They are very quiet and they seal very good over your ears. The sound is incredible. The frequency response is very flat. I only wish that it had a replaceable cable. I would recommend these to anyone who has a home studio

I'm not really experienced on mixing with headphones but I really liked these. They are really comfortable. My only issue is that the hish are way too pronounced for my taste but that is an easy and quick fix with the Morphit plugin. After applying the correction they're much butter and I use them to checkmy mix transinets

For me it took some time to adjust to the sound. Probably due to extensive low-end or maybe some reverb-like effect.

I have had bunch of different headsets, but all of them are mostly lower consumer-grade and not from this league. Therefore I am not a pro when it comes to sound, just an amateur musician / music lover.

With this headset I am able to hear from as low as 20hz to about 19KHz, so it's good to check the low end after attempting to mix on Adam A5x. Perception of sound is pretty much love/hate thing, so there's not much I can say. Probably there is more low end here than it should be, but I am not sure. With this headset I can clearly hear all instruments as separated with minimal effort, which is good.

Not sure if 80Ohm version has "flat" response, but I definitely don't regret buying it. Can confirm that I can hear "more" of the music rather than using cheaper headphones.

Cable is pretty thin and flexible, but looks sturdy. Sadly it is non-removable. But that's okay for this price.

On the head it sits pretty firmly and tight. At first it felt tight, I tend to take headset off regularly to prevent sweating. However, there is no pain for my ears, they are pretty comfortable inside those earcaps.

Bag feels very cheap and could be a bit bigger, it takes a lot of effort to place headset inside. But that's minor thing and I hope that most of the cost of the product went to the headset itself.

Conclusion: solid 4.5 out of 5 amateur stars, I guess.

Totally worth the money.

Very comfortable and good sounding.

This is my 3rd studio headphones after Sony 7506 and Directsound EX29, and I feel I should have known DT770 earlier. Of course, DT770 is more expensive than the previous 2 headphones, I think DT770 has the higher quality and the value for the money.

As for the frequency response, I feel this headphone gives good even output. Some reviews say that this has bass and high boost, therefore not quite flat frequency response, which is not ideal as a studio monitoring headphones, but I felt it sounds warm enough and yet giving good detailed sonical information. I use this for music listening as well, and with a bit of bass boost, it sounds good enough. My main music listening headphones are Sony 1ABT and KOSS Porta pro, and DT770 has its own charm.

What I like the best about this is the comfortableness on the head. Both the earpads and the headband are feeling excellent. Some say its headband never makes you feel tired of wearing it, but it wasn't THAT comfy... maybe it's because my head is not so small...

In conclusion, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a VERY comfortable headphones, both for the purpose of music listening and studio monitoring.

One of the most comfortable headphones you can get

As someone who is a fan of high quality audio products at an affordable price I've come to appreciate the DT-770 for their outstanding quality whilst staying at an attractive price for the average customer.

One nice thing and this is something everybody should be looking into before buying one of these, is the impedance (the ohm value behind the name) they are coming with. This is very important depending on what you want to drive the DT-770 Pro with, so definitely think about it before you blindly buy a certain Ohm version of these headphones as they will truly start to shine when they are coupled with the right hardware driving them.

Personally, I have not had the chance to test either the 250 Ohm version nor the 32 Ohm version but have been using the 80 Ohm version with a Native Instruments Komplete Audio 2 for over a year now and I still enjoy listening to music with these bad boys up to this day.

So all in all I can wholly recommend the DT-770 Pro!

excellent headphones in its price category. deep, clear and open sound. frequency range without dips and jumps. for me, it's a great option for working in a home studio. the materials from which the headphones are made of good quality and look great. comfortable to use for a long time. got for some reason in an open box and not packed in a polyethylene bag, like all new things. but everything looked good and was serviceable.

Great Studio Headphones

I use the DT-770 in my studio and in the studio of the radio station and I find them great. 80 Ohm makes them very versatile. I suggest them.

All I ever hoped for

The sound quality is amazing. I compose music casually and these give me a clear picture of what my tracks sound like.

Great headphones with great sound. I practice them when I play the guitar and the drums. Made securely. Sits comfortably on the head. Time-tested classics. Prayed by generations.

Good headphones but not very comfortable

The headphones sound very good but the comfort isn't very good.

I constantly feel the earpads squishing the sides of my head.

Also a detachable cable would be a nice thing to have, especially at this price point.

Excellent headphones especially for the price

These are the most comfortable and good headphones which i have had. Sound quallity and materials are very good . No distortion or other things , 80 ohms for an imac 27 5k is very good ( for me at 50 percent is pretty loud so you will not have problems with sound level) , i think even 250 ohms will work properly .

The only con is the DHL delivery which is quite slow, my parcel stayed at Frankfurt A DEA IPZ 1 almost 2 weeks , and this is very fast for such a slow parcel center , some people are waiting for more than 2 months , so use a different delivery company if you want your parcel to arrive in time. ( For International delivery )

Best bang for the buck

Build quality is top notch. Comfort is almost excellent. Pads can get warm after a few hours. Sound quality is amazing. It's just the characteristics that does not match with my taste. It doesn't have a flat sound. If you like a bit V shaped sound then this is a great headphone for you.

Killer headphones

DT 880 are remarkable. I have AKG K240 mkII, and DT's are 1 000 000X better than AKG. Fantastic headphones! Love them
