one of the best if not the best headset

The great classic

A bit of disappointment

I got a pair of DT-770 80 Ohm as they are closed headphones and total best seller. They are very comfortable for wearing but sound is far from what I expected. A bit muddy and lots of mid and bass, feels like they are missing the high frequencies. I also got AKG K-702 (by recommendation) that are absolutly fab! If u're not looking for closed headphones in perticular u might want to consider the K-702.

Great Sounding Studio Headphones

I bought these as a back up set for my home studio. They are fantastic, delivering a very wide dynamic range and crystal clear audio.

They don't over compensate on low or high end and are probably the closest match I've heard when comparing to my monitor mix which is great when you are swapping between the two sources.

The only thing that was a bit annoying is the fact that the 1/4 inch jack adaptor is screw on so if you lose it, you'll have to source another one from Beyerdynamic. Other than that, I'd highly recommend them. They are great quality, sound fantastic and are extremely comfortable to wear fro long periods of time.

Amazing headphones, avoid for e-drums

Works great for studio, amazing build quality, very comfortable.

If you look on it for e-drums, bass-drum is fuzzy out-of-the-box and require heavy tuning

Sehr gute KHs

Die 770er sind meiner Meinung nach mit die besten KHs. Toller Bass, aber nicht zu viel. Schöne höhen, um alles klar und definiert erscheinen zu lasen, aber nicht zu viel um nervig zu werden.

Ich kann ebenso die 990er empfehlen. Klingen räumlicher (klar, offene KHs) und das Soundprofil ist recht ähnlich (Hot Take, aber: Die 770er haben zischendere höhen als die 990er).

A step back

I owned this model a long time ago and it was one of my favorite headphones ever. They was heavy, very solid with amazing soundproof and nice sound...Unfortunately this one looks and feels cheap. I can hear almost every sound outside, they are light and looks fragile...The sound is average, not too bad, but far away from the old version...Bad direction for Beyerdynamic

As far as budget pro headphones go , this is the best one.

I am sorry if you were looking for some 1000 word essay on why you should buy this headphones. But maybe you should follow my and the hundreds of review scores and just go for it. I've been a Sennheiser user before and while I do think the sound was a bit better over there , these headphones are way more comfy meaning that I can record , edit , or participate in a call way more than I ever could with the Sennheisers

after 3 years of hard use the cable broke and since its not detachable it made the process more expensive than it had to be

Great comfortable and quality headphones. They do indeed have heavy bass which can be a positive or a negative depending on what you are after.
