Still too loud and sound at low volume is not that good

I thought 1W was the perfect power for very low-volume home use, but it's still too loud and you have to keep the volume knob below 2/10. Unfortunately, at that volume the amp does not sound so good anymore: the tubes don't really break up and the bass frequencies saturate. In the end, I returned it because it's still too loud for my home usage.
