Blackstar HT-1R MkII Combo 4-stars Reviews
When it's hot it's hot.
I absolutely hated this amp for a long time, but for certain applications it's a 10/10. First, I tried it with a Korg Hammond type thing and it screamed with the overdrive. It loves certain guitars and tones. I would recommend this for studio work when you want a screaming lead or Deep Purple heavy keys, but I think as a main bedroom amp it's not great for chording unless you're playing metal. I haven't tried any of the output features.
Great practice amp
Bought the MT1 as a practice amp,and indeed it fulfills my expectations. Two notes:
1. It is still relatively loud if played above 12oclock for apartment use, so you compromise tone if you play really quiet without head phones. A 0.1 W attenuator would be perfect.
2. No EQconfigurations. For the price and use it is okay and the sound you get is still great, but overall a downside compared to competitors.
Emulated out is great, line in also works perfect, especially with headphones on. I did not try the USB connection yet.
