S1 Pro system, great job Bose Team!

Great product, excellent sound , the compact design and the correct weight turn on party time and fun everywhere you need, really!

I know Bose high level quality sound, but especially in internal use, the S1Pro exceeded my expectation!

The only important aspect missing, is a more efficient eq control: I would reccomend Bose Team to develop a dedicated equalizer app, for a full control from the tablet.

Quality and handy

It's just great if you need a portable, (also battery operated), powerful amp.

I'm sure there are other products that do the same, but this comes with the Bose name and, even if all Bose does isn't necessarily great, this item is (two giiging musician friends recommended it to me).

Very handy, interesting sound

We are starting to work with the speaker, its handy and not heavy. I was expecting a better sound, comparing with other Bose systems. A bluetooth would be appreciated, once we sometimes work at the street and not using cables can be a advantage.

Sounds great, very simple

It's clearly designed for those who perhaps have no prior experience with pro PA gear. Plug in a mic/guitar, turn it up, done. No master volume, simple one-knob reverb (which sounds great), simple EQ controls... Surprisingly loud, especially for something powered by battery. Used for small coffee bar gigs and busking on the streets, and does the job well. Great amp, get two for stereo!

Powerful and clear, even for home use!

After i listened tommy first S1 Pro and i encountered on an old Piano recording from Glen Gould his sounds he makes while playing the piano i was really impressed about the details i could hear and i built now a stereo setup.

Just with the app connect the, into stereo mode and you have a high end sound system, which is fun to listen to.

Opera? Yes! Jazz? Yes! Electronic beats? Sure! Pop and HipHop, Funk? Everything! Podcasts? Yeah!

I am writing this now after two month of using them and also renting them to friends who make dance parties and classes.

These speakers are mighty and beauty, even at home!

UPDATE:

1. Great for watching movies with stereo setup ANYWHERE

2. NOT great for use as keyboard speakers

3. Great for Guitar and Bass instruments

4. Great for electronic music

5. NOT great for mixing at home, better Yamaha HS8

Expensive, but surprisingly good

We have a couple of sound systems, including a nice 8kW custom built system and a pair of Mackie Thump 15s, but we wanted a smaller battery powered system which was easily portable for small or outdoor events. There were other cheaper products but for various reasons we decided the S1 Pro was a good fit for our needs. I was sceptical about the sound quality, particularly how much volume and how much bass would be possible with a 6" driver, but this box is surprisingly impressive in both these regards. Great battery life too. Perfect for when you decide you want to have a spontaneous dance jam for 20 to 30 people or suddenly need amplification for a mic or want just to plug in the projector and show a movie.

Bose S1 Pro in Killer combination!

Few years ago I have bought Bose L1 Model II/B2 bundle set. I was scared if it was good decision but in the end I was very delighted with it. It is great PA if you don't ask too much of it. After a year I started to think about some kind of additional loudspeakers… some kind of support to L1. Just to have on the other side something to fill the space. So, I have bought 2 pcs of QSC K8.2. Great little giants with so much power and clean and warm sound for various needs.

And then I had some issues with one QSC K8.2 (another one was OK) and I replace it with Bose S1 Pro. I read lot about that speaker, and comments were divers, but after some time, I had them both, and that was best way to see what each can do or to see which one is better. What I have found!

Here it is:

Bose S1 Pro is far more practical to use in many situations. It has better sound. It's more natural, warmer, pleasant… Reverb for mike and guitar, bluetooth, etc..

QSC K8.2 is more powerfull, in some situations very strong and enough to make very loud music. And!!!

And the greatest combination is to have ALL the three of them. If I have gig in a small venue I carry just Bose S1 Pro. If there's more people, I take QSC K8.2 and set it to work with S1. If the gig is more demanding, I use all of them. Bose L1 behind me on right side, QSC K8.2 on the left side, and Bose S1 Pro in front like a monitor. And that's it!

I shall never replaced any of these 3 PA speakers. With them I simply have solution for every gig. Even battery in S1 Pro is very useful in some occasions.

Excellent little box

I'm very impressed how this little box works. I play in acoustic duo with two guitars and two vocals and with just one Bose S1 Pro we manage to do gigs in restaurants and bars. It sounds great, lot of bottom end, highs are crystal clear, vocals sounds amazing, you can hear every detail. For smaller gigs this is the best i tried so far.

Small, compact, but very good!

I own battery powered speakers from other brands and while they are loud and have good battery life, they are not as capable as this little guy! The Bose produces very good vocal audio for it's size, with considerable volume, I am very impressed!

love that quality sound

I'm using Bose S1 Pro on the street, I'm a street musician. I Love the quality of the sound and the auto EQ when the position of the speaker is changed. It's lightweight and really comfortable to carry. On the street or at home it looks discreet because of it's size. Great quality of sound, lovely bass! You can hear really clear and nice sound even when you are behind the speaker. For me it's perfect for street performing or just listening to music on the street, you have your 15m good sound.

Wow... powerful and practicallity with 160 watt output

Simply WOW. Cannot fault it, I have been looking for something like that a long time ago. Powerful enough for our local church that can fill up 100-130 people, with output of 160 WATTS from this little thing, I connect my acoustic guitar and microphone. Pricey but it?s worth every penny, happy with my investment. By the way, a piece of advice for those who wants to save on a carrying bag, better to get a padded cajon bag fits perfectly well a bit bulky but instead of the original one that cost quite a lot.

Does what it claims .

Ive tried few other battery powered amps for acoustic guitar & vocals that just did not do the job at all ..at least not for the vocal side of things anyway.

The S1 Pro however sounds great, top quality sounds for guitar & voice, it really is a little PA & does that Bose thing where the sound seems to travel everywhere.

I use this for vocals & acoustic guitar at wedding ceremonies & cocktail receptions & the sound floats around just perfectly, even with it just sat at the side of me on the floor.

Yes ... its a little expensive & then extra for the battery but in my opinion... worth every penny ..amp in one hand, guitar in the other, now thats what i call a load in !

it would be good if a decent sized case or bag that could fit a few cables / mic & the S1 was available ...a cajon case might be the answer for me.
