Eurolite LED Mini Z-20 USB Beam Effect

Based on 1 reviews
For the price I paid for this I wasn't expecting that much but it exceeded my expectations, it's actually very bright and in nice tone of colours, the power supply is by usb so you would need to plug the usb to a power block of a mobile phone as example... Sure this is not like pro quality but if you search for pro quality then this is not the price range you would be searching within. But for what is great? well, even as a stand alone is already good enough, but I bought it to use it together with a laser, strobe, black lights and fog machine. Practically this Mini Z-20 and a laser would rock the party. I would say that for parties at home, flat, office, or even a warehouse this Z-20 does the job. And the price is so affordable that you can easily get even 2 of them. Im using it in a...
Stairville Beam Ball 100 Quad LED 10x10W

Based on 1 reviews
The 'astro-ball' type lights were a huge effect in the Disco Era and very expensive fixtures. These RGB 'Beam ball' are a very good modern update of the original fixtures at a tiny fraction or the price. It's a fascinating effect to bring a touch of the days of 'Disco' to the more modest venues. With the magic of DMX control the 'Beam Balls' can be tamed to bring a bit of 70s nostalgia wide variety of parties they may be used for. Pros: Versatile classic effect, adds excitement any light show, good output, affordable (at last) Cons: I wish they were more options in the built in sound to light programs
Eurolite LED DMF-2 Hybrid Flower Effect

Based on 1 reviews
I bought this to replace a rotating moonflower effect and whilst it does not rotate, the changing and flashing display works well. We use it as part of our mobile disco setup to illuminate a wall or ceiling as part of an overall room effect inclusing star laser and other effects, and it did do this on first use this weekend, even in a room with strong ambient lighting due to sunlight through windows. The four auto settings give us enough choices with the option to switch to sound if required. We leave on auto as it is a fill effect to dress the room, without the strobe. The safety eye is useful and overall we are very pleased with the unit.

First the good....Excellent light output and features whilst testing. Can?t wait to get on the road with them with the band, Stobe is very bright as is the COB. Colour mix on COB is good too. Now the bad... Quality control could do with improving. Tested in a simple set up, but then implemented into the rig, used the power through feature, nothing. No option but to open it up. The power was incorrectly wired up. Live and neutral wer both live on the power output. Thankfully I had a second unit to check against. Some simple rewiring and it was fixed. Thankfully I check all my units before I use live...
ADJ Starburst

This is my first multi channel dmx fitting that I have tried, so I'm not over qualified with relation to reviewing this type of stuff. The unit produces strong beams and is a modern take on the old mirror balls. The unit has six separate sources inside and so if you have all colours on full the reflection on the wall is six dots of colour not a mix of colour in a single dot which some might expect. I have not had the unit long so I might change my review at some point, but I struggled to get it working via dmx, so if you are a newbie, take note, you have to have the master fader up, the colours up and then go in to the strobe fader and select a number that corresponds to the setting " led on" this will then turn the lights on, and then you can mess about with roatation speed...
ADJ Quad Phase HP 32-Watt Quad-LED

Based on 9 reviews
I use this light every night in my solo show. Works equally well when hung from my truss or stood on the floor. Perfect for a special effect to backlight the singer. The beams go for miles and with DMX you can controll the colour, the speed and the strobe effect. Also on DMX you can set it to sound active mode. Just an amazing light. Add some haze and wow!!! Small problem. When using haze the haze gets sucked into the back of the light and can fog up the lenses. So frequent removing of the front cover may be required to clean them. All depends on how much haze you use and how often. But still a fabulous light.
Showtec Dynamic LED

This fixture feels and looks the part in any place I put it. I have used it in a variety of different functions, and it has been brilliant in every single one! The build quality is sturdy, with a metal casing and four tough lenses - each being held up with two mounting brackets with 3 secure mount points in each (bolts). It can be mounted in any way you want, as the locking screws are tough enough to hold it in one place. It is very light weight and will put no strain on your trussing or deck stands. The light output is pretty good - although I do recommend using it in a darkened room as it is not bright enough to work with the lights on. Every single colour is as strong as the other, so there is no lack in the blue spectrum. Patterns are built into the unit as macros, and it features...
Fun Generation MiniSpider FX 8x3W RGBW

I bought this to combine with a derby for a compact set-up for smaller venues when the full lighting rig is too big/overkill, and overall I'm satisfied, though it does have a few minor issues. Firstly, the light doesn't auto-calibrate on power on, so if you don't manually position the light bars first your sequences won't quite run as planned. Secondly, the DMX channels/commands as per the instruction book seem to have no correlation to the actual commands, so there's a lot of trial-and-error and guesswork in setting this up on DMX. I don't know if this has had some kind of firmware update since the manual was printed, but you've got functions on different channels to those specified, then when you do find the right channel the numbers still don't correlate to the functions...
ADJ Mini Dekker

These units are much brighter than anticipated and although operate well in their stand-alone mode, I have connected these via a DMX controller and they become very impressive being able to change colour, speed and dimension of the fixture. I would recommend anyone buying these to take the time to set up in DMX mode. They will not be disappointed. Although being delighted with these products, the only criticism I have is that I understood that they had IEC mains input and output and even on the packaging box it states and displays mains in and out. However, the actual fixture only has mains in. This obviously doesn?t affect the performance of the fixture it would have just meant that linking up to other bits of kit would have been easier. These fixtures represent excellent value for...
