Daddario EXL110-10P 4-stars Reviews
Overall good strings
Don't have any problems with them. Also, I'm not a pro guitar player so that's that.
Nice choice!!
The strings have a brilliant tone and are a great compromise for both fender and gibson type guitars. I change the strings very often so the value for money ratio is advantageous.
D'Addario characteristics, practical package
To me D'Addario strings have a certain sound that I find a bit tin-like, they are slightly overpriced but they have one important attribute, consistency. I generally recommend them to students or players who don't have "their sound" yet and just need reliable, quality strings.
My strings of choice
I've used D'Addario XL strings for many years now. I've tried other brands, but keep coming back to these. They suit me, and for me, they last a long time.
My only moan is that I've now had quite a few 0.010"s E strings unwrap at the ball end, which is something D'Addario need to look into remedying. But I've also had the same thing happen on Ernie Ball strings as well. It may simply be an occasional batch production problem, but when you buy a pack of 10 that have come from the same batch, and at least 50% of the E strings come undone, it is rather frustrating.
I've now taken to soldering the wraps on my high Es, which cures the problem, but it is a bit of a pain to keep doing each time.
Best sounding and playing strings, period!!
I just keep coming back to these. Really great sounding strings and they also play really well. The tension is great and they last very long for non coated strings. The sound is bright and clear and doesn't get muddy after a few plays like some other brands do. If you keep them clean and dry after playing you can use them pretty long.
Great cheap strings
Maybe not the best one on the market, but quality/cost ratio is great. For those, who prefer change strings frequently, and not waiting, while they dies, this kind of option is reasonable choice.
Quality
I've been using these strings for many years and they broke very rare, which is important. Price vs Quality is great.
Good strings
These strings are great for the price.
I've had these strings for some years now. I just don't get tired of these strings. I first tried them in my Les Paul, than tried on my Strat and eventually I just had to buy a pack of 10 of these. I like the way they slide and sound. Bends just fine on the strings you really want to bend. As it is an hybrid string set it may get a little confusing going from D to G. You may find the difference in gauge significant. After these strings I'll try a "simple" set instead of a hybrid one and check if it's better for my style and level of guitar playing but I don't really bet on that. Amazing strings.
Affordable strings
The Daddario are really affordable strings. I have mainly use them as backup strings on gigs before, but now they are more and more getting to be my first choice of strings.
Work horse strings
I buy these in the 10 pack and change strings every two gigs usually. They sound great out of the pack but I notice a definite loss of tone and "chirpyness" after one night. I like a bright top sound and these deliver on that, on a Godin Solidac they sound great through the "acoustic" output and the 10's I use will stay in tune even when bending. In about 10 years of using them I've only broken two or three strings, I have tried other more expensive strings but if you like the "new" string sound and don,t want to break the bank if your constantly changing strings then these are great.
Quality: 8/10
Sound: 9/10
value:9/10
Good and fair priced strings...
I usually change my strings every week on my heavily used guitars. These package keeps the cost down.
They sound pretty solid when they are new and they keep their sound constant for some days. I don´t like their sound after heavy use and need to change them quite early, but this is okay for this price.
You always need more strings
these are currently my favorite strings and why not just buy a 10 pack and relax for a while. Good value for money here.
