difficult to unpack

these strings sound well and feel good, but they are difficult to unpack and slow to install. the strings are bundled together and interlaced, so do not plan on bringing them to a show unless you have lots of time or you repack them beforehand.

The usual string in an intermediate size

For when in doubt. I like them on my strat because 9s feel to thin to bend and 10s give too much resistance. When I run out of these I'll try 9s or 10s in a coated version.

Great set

I have always been a player who favored lighter strings and would often move between Daddario 009s and 010s but never being able to establish which ones I prefer. Luckily with the 0095s I don't need to. I get thicker sounding bass strings (E, A and D) more in line with the 010s whilst affording me to be able to bend the higher strings with even more glorious ease. Happy days!

Acoustic sounding

A nice set of strings if you like a more acostic sounding electric guitar. Very affordable if you would like to experiment a bit with the sound.

Daddario EXL120+ review

I like Daddario EXL120+ stings - for me they are the perfect compromise between the feel of 9's and the sound of 10s.

However the new packs coil the strings together in pairs (the old pack was in singles) which means untangling each pair and laying down one uncoiled string while you fitting the other which for me is a bit irritating as it always seems to fall on the floor. Why make the change? Cost I guess.
