Daddario EXL120 Reviews
Easy to bend witout losing tone
I have been using D'Addario string for over 20 years and I return back to D'Addario each time I try other brands. Previously I used thicker gauges due to toning reasons but after I watched Rick Beato's video about string sizes I decided to give a chance to lighter gauges and guess what? Same tone with easier bending! (yeah I love bending, I can not lie) I recommend this string in terms of quality and easy bending.
Flexible strings and I love them
The strings are very flexible, durable and I love them.
Good product taking into account price
This is a very good product if you take into account quality/price. I come from a classic/nylon guitar background and inherited a electric guitar. Although knowing that the amp also plays a big roll, have to say I was presently surprised by these strings and need not to look further!
Quality product
Great sound and sustain. Thanks
Great affordable string
There is not much to be said about set of strings, great tone for great price.
Well known strings to me
Strings I've been using for so long and after all these years, they continue to deliver me good sound and quality. Tried couple of other brands, but this is the one I prefer the most. Use them for standard E tuning and drop D.
You won't be wrong buying these strings especially if You don't change them often, because even then they will bring You clear and nice sound.
Of course, don't forget to equip Yourself with string conditioner because it will help You maintain clear sound and prevent rust, no matter which strings/brand you use.
What more can be said?
Have been using the same strings for years, has been beaten and tested by 100s of 1000s of musicians around the Globe I think its well over proven that these are one of the best strings out there :)
Daddario EXL120
Good affordable strings. I always take them.
very good value for money strings
a prfect all day strings very good performance and durable to big bends
Excellent
Great price and great product. My go to set of strings for Standard E tuning (I like my tension a bit lighter than most).
They last for a long time, and sounds nice and bright.
My personal favourites!
I've been using Daddarios for 30 years, why change the habit of a lifetime?
Price, durability and sound-wise these are a winner everyday.
Great strings
I like the tone, which they have way longer than some strings I've also tried. They hold well and don't break quickly, and I'm doing quite some bending...
A standard trustworthy set of stings. A new pair of these immediately elevates a recorded guitar sound, also found out that I need to change strings more often (as long as the budget allows).
Best entry level Option
Entry level set of string i use them for everyday practice and home recording. Cristal clear sound and very solid material. I ususally don't do any cleaning or conditioning on my daily practice guitar, just tune it and play, yet those string keep a good qualyty of sound and intonation for may hour of hard playing . unless you are studio recording or playing live intensely this is the string i will suggest you to buy. economic but not cheap, reliable, durable and very nice clear sound.
Grrrrrreat!!!
In my opinion the best guitar strings in sound out there!!!
Good strings
Can't say anything bad about them, and had no problems with them so far.
No brainer
You can't go wrong with these strings. These are the classic go to strings for me.
Solid strings
These are my #2 string brand, after Elixir. The sound is clear and bright, with a nice feeling to the touch. They do not have that bard-wire feeling of the Ernie Ball. The quality seems spot on every time. I just gave them 4 stars because I like the Elixir feel better. Other than that, they are a solid set of strings tha will not let you down.
Good choice for a decent regular string set
I like these better than Ernie Ball equivalent because I never broke a new high e string from D'addario but a lot of them from Ernie's.. It's very frustating to put on a new set and brake the thinnest string in the process. Other than that tone is very good (bright-balanced) strings are slick enough (fingers slide - normal, i would say) and they last for about 2-3 months or even more if you care for them (clean them on a regular basis) and with moderate use. I think a 3 pack is a better deal though.
Fav string
I used Daddario 10 on my epiphone, it sounded great and lasted months.
Now i'm using 9 on my strat. It last long sounds great, especially while playing clean sounds.
For me this was, is and will be the best strings.
