Daddario EXL125-3D Reviews
Good strings
Some of the best strings. I recommend it to all my friends
Great strings
These have been my go to strings for years. When you just put them on, they have a bit of a metallic rattle sound to them but that wears off pretty quick. If you stretch them out properly when installing, they stay in tune pretty well. I don't often break any of these strings and I don't change them that often. I have tried more expensive strings that supposedly last longer, but at some point you should change them anyway to make sure nothing breaks during a gig and they sound fresh so I don't really see the point. These are good, affordable, good sounding strings.
Great strings
light top strings make it really nice to play while having good bass response
Versatile enough
This combination is what I have been looking for since a while.
I always played light with a drop D; it never felt ok to me until I tried this combination. The light top allows for some good bendy leads while the regular bottom allows for good riffing!
Best strings
These are the strings i like most overall for this price. They last the longest to my corrosive sweat and sound just perfect. They also feel great for a long time. Sure, NYXL's feel better to the fingers and for a longer time, but they're also more than double the price, so the XL's are the way to go for me
Always a good choice!
I've never had any issues with these strings. Sound great, last long and come in multiple-set packs, which comes in handy!
Perfect strings
as always D'addario strings are perfect! Always back to them, great filling and tone
My go-to strings
Used them all the time. The gauge is perfect for a 25,5" scale length guitar with a half step down tuning - top strings are not as wobbly as a standard 9-42 set, but at the same time they are easy to pick when playing fast thrash metal riffs.
Never had even one of those strings break. They come in a sealed package inside the carton so they're always fresh.
Pretty good string set
Playfull strings, warm and bright! Easy to bend also.
A bum bum for your bucks....!
Ive been using Daddario strings for years and it never let me down... giving exactly the mood, the feel, the expression you want it to do longevity and reliability is not an issue take care of her and she will take care for you.... hard riff and singing highs she will be definitely give to you... get it try it you wont regret the experience having this strings...
They break easy
I prefer coated, but that's just my opinion. These only last a couple weeks though, so be advised
Probably the best electric guitar strings ever
Excellent sound, they stay in tune really nice and are very easy to manipulate. Just fantastic.
Nice set due to heavier bass strings
The best of both worlds if you want the high strings to be 009-011-016 for ease of play, but do want the better bass sound of a 010-046 set, as in this set the bass strings are 026-036-046.
I use this combination on those guitars which simply sound better with this set.
long life, very stable in time
Excellent sound, very clear for my ears, very stable in time. can't advice other strings as i'm very happy with these.
Using them on a strat
Using this strings on my Fender Deluxe Stratocaster. Good sound , I tune my strat half step down and the tension is still great.
No Splinters
I've used other well known brands and got tiny spilnters from them - never with these - totally reliable in every way.
good stuff
ive only been using Daddario for the past 15 years now and love them. this is the first time using the top super light and lower light guage strings and it really does it for me. solos are easier to play (compared to 10s) while still keeping a good tone for those power chords and lower tones. i would highly recommend.
The industry standard
These strings are as good as they always have been.
They might not have all the bells and whistles of the newest additions to the market, but this is precisely because for decades the Daddario strings have been the industry standard, they defined what a guitar string should be. Always consistent, stable, quite long lasting and very hard to break, and all of that with a very clear tone and great feel.
I've been playing for over 20 years and these are still my strings.
Ordered for a friend
I can't comment on these from personal experience as I ordered them for a friend in the band. But I can say that he was very specific about ordering these particular Daddario strings and has been very pleased with them.
Great strings
I've been using these for many years and they're always reliable, sound good and rarely break. I particularly like the hybrid gauges with heavier bottom strings - to me they make a perfect balance between bendable higher strings in solos and chunkier lower strings for rhythm and riffing.
Good value in packs of three. Highly recommended.
