Versatile enough

This combination is what I have been looking for since a while.

I always played light with a drop D; it never felt ok to me until I tried this combination. The light top allows for some good bendy leads while the regular bottom allows for good riffing!

They break easy

I prefer coated, but that's just my opinion. These only last a couple weeks though, so be advised

Ordered for a friend

I can't comment on these from personal experience as I ordered them for a friend in the band. But I can say that he was very specific about ordering these particular Daddario strings and has been very pleased with them.

My go-to strings

I like D'Addario strings; maybe it's all psychological, but it seems like if I take care of them (wash hands before playing, wipe strings after playing, keep guitar cased) these strings stay bright for a good little while. I like 9's, but I also like a low E thicker than a 42. I also like getting money off by buying more than one set at a time. This three-pack ticks the boxes. I gave it four stars simply because I dont' think they're the BEST strings I've ever used, but they're great anyway.

does exactly what it says on the tin

I have used these strings for years and years. I simply always buy these.
