Great, for someone else

Had it for while and then sold it. Didn't enjoy the workflow. And those clicking buttons where driving me mad. Felt like punching on a typewriter. I much prefer programming drums on the computer. Much faster and more flexible. This thing really should have a song mode. As for over bridge: impressive concept, but didn't see the point. If I were to buy a new drum machine, I'd rather have something with more analogue outs.

A joy to look at, maybe not to play.

Beautifully made with a high-quality feel.

But the software/ workflow is a real pain.

Tbh, not having a song mode makes this instrument feel like an expensive toy. In this day and age, I shouldn't have to buy their flagship product for over 1k to have something worth gigging.

What is this instrument for? Composing is a pain (use an MPC or DAW), live is a hassle (Use an Octatrack... if you can afford it).

Elektron shot themselves in the foot here by trying to keep the Digitakt from competing with the Octatrack.
