Great strings!

There’s nothing to say to be honest. The strings are great and reliable! Can recommend them for everyone who plays often and wants to retain their tone as long as possible.

Fantastic long lasting sound

always been a fan of elixir, just changed my pbass strings from the regular non coated ones and swapped them for these which i normaly use on all of my guitars (martins, gibson, fenders), long lasting , clear tones !

The "immortal" strings

I've tried different brands throughout the years (DR, D'Addario, Ernie Ball, Fender) but I always came back to Elixir. Not so bright out of the box (compared to other brands) but they last three/four times more, when they cost only double. Durable and long-lasting, great feel, great tone even after months of use!

Great value plus decent sound and feel

Trusty strings with a super long life . They stay in tune , are robust and keep a great tone for way longer than even other coated strings . I have tried all the main names and keep coming back to these .

My favourite Go-to Set!

Long lasting, durable, Excellent sound and to top it off they feel great under the fingers! They don't wither as bad as some other coated brands and they are reasonably suited for most styles! Been buying elixirs for the last 10 years so I guess that's telling in itself!

Using these for years now....

They are costly but in my opinion they are worth it. I have been using Elixirs 45-105 for years now on my 6 basses and have tested some others (Daddario, Fender) in between but always returned to these Elixirs. They sound great, they are stable (don't change sound after 3 or 4 gigs) and they last. No I am not endorsed, after dozens of sets of Elixirs it was about time to write this review.

Une référence.

Même si je n'utilise plus que des D'addario NYXL, les elixir restent dans mon top 3. Son et durabilité au top. On ne peut pas se tromper avec ce set.

The best strings

One time Elixir - always Elixir. Those strings has longtime lifetime, they can give to your bass super clear and warm tone, punchy and rocky sound! Highly recommend!

good

Right out of the box they sound just like new uncoated strings, they have that zingy sound.

After 1 week they unfortunately lose the zing a bit but even after half a year they still don't sound "dead" like uncoated strings do. They still have lots of harmonics and sound nice and bright, just no zing.

Some people actually don't like zing so these strings would be perfect for them. I personally like zing, but I still think these strings are worth it as they will never go completely dead. I've been using the same strings for 6 months and don't plan on changing them.

Best rounds

These are just the best roundwounds on the market.

I've played daddario, Ernie Ball slinky's, DRs, rotosound, ...

In terms of feel & sound they're just untouchable to me.

Strings are a personal thing, and it's a subjective matter.

But one objective thing is the lifespan:

Professional players or bassists that play daily will benefit from these.

For me, they keep a good and snappy and lively sound for 6 months.

And also, after 6 months they still sound good, just less snap and treble.

Uncoated strings last 2 months maximum, feel sticky and loose all the tone after a while...

Good quality strings. They are a tad bit too bright for my taste, a bit too scratchy also.

only strings I use now

Great strings and great life-span.I can leave these strings on for months of regular use and they still sound great. Ideally I'd change them every 3 months but it often goes longer than that. If you're playing a lot, these are the strings for you. Expensive, but cheaper in the long run.

The best strings I've ever used.

I'm fussy with strings. I don't like them to feel too grippy and rough, I like them bright, but not too bright, I like them to last a long time.

Elixir meets all of those parameters every time.

I've never had a bad string from them.

Elixer strings bass

Elixer strings are the one for me. They are affordable and last long with great sound. I use the more than a few years now and I only differs in thickness of the strings. I don't have any negative feedback
