Rad!

I'm a big, big fan of elixers. For someone who plays, cares how it sounds and feels, elixers are great. They're a little warmer than most, and feel a little different, but once you get used to them, you'll love em, or hate em.

Love it

How can I describe something that I love? LOVE IT. The best strings available. Does what it promises: sound quality, tone, long life. I have been using these for ten years now and won't change into anything. Worth every penny!

Great strings

I have been using Elixir strings for a long time, although they are much more expensive then other brands they indeed do last much longer than your cheaper alternatives ones.

I bought a 3 pack of martin string that cost half the price of these and I broke one of the martins on restringing. They have a rich tone and even make a cheaper guitar sound really rich and good. The coating does fade off with continued usage but it does not effect the quality of sound. I would not use anything else now.

I Highly recommend buying them and seeing for yourself, you won't be disappointed in them.

Also much cheaper here also than your local music store.

great strings

i use these stings on my takamine and they sound awesome. but especially the d-string loses the coating. the stings then still sound good, but it looks a little dirty. the price seems to be high, but i change them only about 3 times a year. all in all great strings and best value for money!

Best strings I've tried

The coatings on these strings make a huge difference. Uncoated strings can not compare with the lifetime of Elixirs. I don't play excessively, so I usually replace strings annualy. Their brightness typically starts decaying after a few months, but even after a full year, sections of the string are still untouched so they don't get completely dull.

The coating prevents dirt from building up between windings and it protects the metal from corroding, which is great because if you don't play for a while, the strings won't have corroded in the meantime.

I have rather sweaty hands, but the strings stay crisp until eventually the coating starts tearing at the section where you strum.

Right there in the middle

Perfect if you think extra light is too thin and medium is too heavy. Makes my epiphone sound great.

No competition

I have used Elixir the last 7 years and so far I have never used any better strings. No matter if you play a lot or pick up the guitar once a month this guarantees a lovely sound everytime. The only ones who should avoid it is extreme string benders who breaks strings at every gig. It still sounds great but it will be expensive.

The goretex coating keeps the strings clean and with a clear sound for much longer than other strings.
