Epiphone J-200 EC Studio VS 5-stars Reviews
value for money
This guitar is simply amazing and for this price.. It's simply a steal in my oppinion.
Very nice looking guitar
I am in love at the first look with this guitar. Smooth finish and very nice workmanship. I was expecting a louder sound from this jumbo guitar, though it is loud enough to fill the room with its bright sound. Nice buy at this price range!
Wonderful looking guitar
I simply fell in love with this guitar after strumming my first chords on it, the construction, finish, playability and sound are on a par with a guitar costing significantly more, what a great axe I can't say it enough, it really sounds like a guitar double its price.
The action is lighter and lower than you'd expect from an acoustic, so while this is still a guitar that likes to be strummed, it's great for finger pickers as well.
The groover machine heads feel smooth as butter and stay in tune very well. The preamp system sounds great after you fiddle with the knobs for a while and find the "right" sound for yourself.
I love it and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quality instrument at an affordable price.
Great guitar
Superb Jumbo guitar
Great sound and very comfortable to play despite its size
Awesome sound for this price
I've had a Yamaha FG100 before this and I thought that sounds really nice as it had quite bright sound. This guitar was surely an improvement. It feels a lot better in terms of sound and build quality.
Pros:
Sturdy
Nice overall sound
Awesome design
Cons:
The strings are not that good and I will surely change them in the upcoming weeks.
Overall, this is a great guitar for this price. The solid top really makes a big difference and the rest of the build has a nice finish.
Even though it might have some factory defects (some glue sticking out on some parts) they are not really visible until you take a really close look.
This (in my opinion) is a truly beautiful guitar, both in looks and sound quality. It has the best range of a guitar I have ever used. It doesn't have a very low sound but it of course can be, but where it really shines is that kind of mid to high range sound. I think it hits the perfect sweet spot there. However it is not a very loud guitar acoustically and can sometimes seem just a little too big but if you don't mind that it's really just a great guitar for its price and I would definetly recommend it.
excellent product
excellent product, still for a jumbo it is not that loud.
Nice guitar...
... but mine came with 3 dents. So I was a little disapointed. It is not so loud, as other reviews mentioned, but it has a nice sound. Did not test other strings yet, so mabe that's the issue with low sound too...
Electric part is OK. Had to fix the magnet with some glue, because it was buzzing and also twist together cables inside, because they were to loose and hitting the body.
A very nice and good guitar after some fixes!
Perfect replica of the classic gibson series..Affordable, great full and loud sound, attractive look.. Couldn't be more pleased with that guitar considering the money spent for it
A great stage guitar
This is an electric guitar. It looks like an acoustic but it's acoustic sound is thin for a jumbo. It plays beautifully, is well made, looks great, stays in tune, everything I wanted. The idea behind this guitar, I believe, is to be used onstage where it's dual pickups can be blended for that fat jumbo sound I bought it for comes out. And it's a great bargain moneywise.
Great buy!
The price for this guitar is a steal and would make and guitars beginners to professional happy! This guita has a big sound with a lovely warmth too it. Great buy !
Love it
Well what can I say that hasn't already been said, I had to wait quite a while for the vintage sunburst to become available so I spend ages checking out reviews on this guitar and I must say Im glad I waited, It looks and sounds great and I just can't put it down! I would definitely recommend it, You will not be dissapointed!
Epiphone EJ-200CE VS
A well made guitar by Epiphone with a nice selection of gold hardware, the guitar arrived with no issues well packed & within 4 days.
The action string height was fine on delivery but I adjusted to my own liking & dropped the action slightly by shaving the saddle only slightly. the neck relief was perfect on receipt, & allowed for an easy set up, as the frets were nice & level & required NO dressing or anything so this guitar in my view was made to quite a high standard the finish had no flaws & was pristine.
The volume unplugged I thought would've been louder, but when plugged in the guitar really came to life, & has a really lovely tone, & I can confirm these shadow pickups these guitars are fitted with are really nice pickups, highly recommended.
I believe this guitar to be suited to most genres of music & styles & really cuts through nicely in a band environment, for what the guitar costs it really is amazing, & definitely worth the money if you are specifically looking for a Jumbo acoustic, as for this sort of money you cant go wrong that's for sure...so in my book I highly recommend this guitar particularly if you are looking for a stereo facility that this guitar is made with...enjoy!
The Guitar is AMAZING !!!
Just received this beauty. Tuned it after unboxing and it played like it had been part of the family for years !! Volume and tone are amazing unplugged. No buzzing frets. Looking forward to plugging it in. It is on a stand next to my Gibson Midtown Custom, and looks and feels, every square inch, a quality instrument in it's own right. I am so proud to own this instrument. AMAZING !!!
Epiphone EJ-200 CE-VSB
Received this Epi yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and finish and then I plugged it in and it blew me away believe me I own two expensive Martins that I may now sell on has this instrument is just fabulous for the money great action playability out of the box I have just today changed the strings which has improved it acousticly I am over the moon with this next purchase from this company the Epi Masterbuilt dreadnought and my Martins can go.
supurb guitar
Excellant guitar with a very high quality finish. Sound and sensitivity are great and a very good action out of the box. Not jumbo frets but OK all the same. One thing I would say is to replace the saddle and top nut with bone as soon as possible. We found them, especially the saddle, quite soft. This caused a problem with the action as the strings began to cut into and wear away the plastic saddle. (the guitar was played hard everyday and went through 35 performances in 6 months so it is not a surprise to me the saddle needs to be renewed) There is no complaint with the electrics and controls etc. everything works as expected although the built in tuner is a bit fiddly.
Value for money
For this amount of money there is no other electro acoustic guitar.
Beautiful
I bought this as a back up for my home and I am absolutely delighted with it.
The action is a pleasure, and makes you want to pick the guitar up every time you walk past it. Rich tones, and a gorgeous finish.
Not a Gibson
This guitar is the best I've got...and I have lots. £3000 cheaper than the Gibson and in my opinion far more flexible. Top tone and great to play both acoustic and through the in built pickups. Well recomme
