Amazing price for amazing strings

I've played a few different gauges of Ernie Ball strings and they're just fantastic. The tone of this gauge however was warm and yet full of clarity.

The great thing about these however is that they don't seem to rust or break. I only ever seem to need to replace them because they get dirty.

Would definitely recommend

Sounds amazing!

These are perfect for string bends. They also have that classic sound to them.

Excellent

Perfect for standard tuning with a floating bridge/tremolo system.

Great value and tone

I use these on my fretted 4-string Yamaha BB414.

Pros:

For me (subjective and depends on what you play), these are good value strings that produce a balanced tone with some brightness.

Cons:

Probably not great for recording since anything less than perfect fretting hand work will give quite a lot of fretting noise unless you have the tone knob right down. They're probably also not too good for fretless as they'll scuff the fretboard up.

Great strings

Quality as you would expect from a set of Ernie ball strings! Great on my Les Paul but have been using Skinny Top Heavy Bottom 10-52 on my SG.

Very loud, bright sounding strings that last well!

Classic strings

I have been using these strings for decades and have always loved the sound and feel of them.

More recently, I tried Elixir nanowebs and found them to be excellent strings and certainly longer-lived than the 2223's.

But I prefer the feel of Ernie Balls under the fingers on electric guitars and have gone back to them once more.

They are very stable for tuning, don't mind drop-tunings, and always sound great.

Highly recommended.

Awesome!

even if these are the light ones, the sustain is surprising;not what i expected for this gauge. You can shred on them all day long without getting your fingertips messed up. They'll definitely last more than a month. a lot of clarity and btightness when using clean sounds.

Awesome strings

I use these strings on my Jackson 6 string with floyd rose. The strings stay fresh for a very long time and sound crystal clear. Super comfortable.

Would definitely reccomend this product to a friend.

Ernie Balls. my 'go to' strings for electric guitar

I don't change strings as often as I probably should.. but that's because of a mixture of laziness and because although a new set of strings sound fantastic, so does an old set.

I've been using Ernie Ball slinkys for the last ~5 years and have never had any issues. They're long lasting and very durable and haven't had any scary string snapping moments mid-bend.

They do require a little 'stretching' and retuning for the first few hours after fitting but once bedded in they maintain excellent tuning stability and I've found that any issues are typically guitar related.

This set is the 9-42 gauge. I typically use the 'hybrid' set (9-46) as I prefer the beefier bottom strings for heavy riffing and the lighter top strings for easy bends.

Treat your guitar to a new set of strings... it deserves it!

Great strings!

I'm using those strings almost since I started playing guitar more than 5 years ago. Never had problem with these ones - the quality is just great! Many great musicians use these strings, so you shouldn't worry much about quality of their sound...

However I recommend to change them once per 2 weeks or a month depending on how often you play the guitar, unless you clean them after every play as strings get muddy quite fast and loose their great sound.

But because their sound is worth that change I highly recommend those strings anyway!

Ernie Ball 2223 .009-.042

I normally use "James Bond" strings .007, so these are almost like "Anchor cable" to me. I wanted them for slide playing. Not sure if they're really heavy enough for that though.

Tried and tested...great strings

I have played guitar with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys for many years and find them hard to beat. They sound bright and clear, and the 9's make string bending and vibrato easy...without sacrificing on tone. I have experimented with other brands over the years, and none have come close.

Good quality strings

I purchased these for my daughter who is just starting out on guitar as I find the extra slinky very good for beginners, although the whole range is great. Good quality strings for a reasonable price.

Good strings as expected

Standard Ernie Ball strings at a good price. No complaints as they are one of the go to quality string brands and are always a safe bet.
