great Ernie Ball

I've used many different brands of strings over the years however I finally turned to EBSS's and after using them for just a few weeks now I already kick myself for not going to them sooner. This is the ultimate go to string for me because of the great tone they give off, their long life and their easiness to bend. I have yet to break one yet and I sometimes get crazy on them with my strumming. From beginners to pros I would at least recommend giving them a try.Depends on what guitar you put them on... I find them to be brighter sounding than a few other brands. This can be good or bad depending on what you want. If your guitar is already on the bright, trebly side, you might want to try something else like d'addario. If other strings sound too dark, bassy on your guitar, then try these.

Great for new guitarists

Good strings to learn with for new guitarists as they are thin and don't hurt which allows longer practice time. Sound great too.

Ernie Ball 2223

This strings was made for a strat for my taste. I used it on stratocaster in E standard tuning and they really rocks. Now I have it on strat for at least 3 months and guitar were playing a lot - around 3 to 4 hours on day and string didn't rust a little. They have great ton also after 3 months of playing. I think they are best buy for that money.

My preferred electric strings

I've used all kinds - Rotosound, Baby boomers, Fender - but I keep coming back to the Slinky or Super Slinky sets from Ernie Ball. They're clean and crisp and durable and will take quite a beating and still retain their tuning well. Well worth the money.

Ernie ball 11's

These strings are great. Cheap and great sounding. I do wish that they could maybe have a slightly longer lasting life, but otherwise tgese are great and well worth the few quid.

Great strings!

I've always been a fan of EB strings. They offer excellent playability at a great price and if looked after last for ages. Highly recommended!

Good

Its very personal about strings. I liked those but I dont feel tempted to buy more. They feelt a little average to me. I didn't even liked the package. Just a plastic bag.

It's a good set of strings. But no hiligths or anything remarcable.

Excellent quality

These are really high quality strings for you guitar. I just love to play with these. Great sound and nice playbility with these bad boys. These strings are excellent at least IMHO great for rock, pop, metal sounds. Also they are easy to bend so those who love to bend thru songs these strings should be your try out list on number one place. I have also liked how these have been easy to keep clean and strings have lasted really long time. So ofcourse they will be broken but not as easy as Many other strings. And i change tuning a lot. Still they will last long. I have used ghs fast fret with these strings and it was excellent choice it gives nice protective coat to these strings. Will order again soon.

Awesome price/quality ratio

Awesome price/quality ratio. They sound great and they hold tune great. Package could be a bit more convincing, but i can't complain, as strings did get here sealed (however, i can imagine that not being the case).

I know, i know?.

I know guitar strings ARE a VERY personal thing?

That said i always had a softspot for these. They last me reasonably well, have a nice tone, great feel under my fingers & although i DON'T have a tremolo type bridge, i do lots of bends & they are very stable at retaining their tuning

Nothing wrong with them for my purpose

great strings

Great strings, great price. Nice and bright tone. Last well. Particularly good for a Strat in my opinion, which is what I use them on. Never had a string snap, so strong and durable as well.

Those are the best strings for my guitars.

I really like the Ernies. I've tried several string companies, but after trying Ernie I never came to everything else.

I'm not a fan of changing strings every 2 months, even though you can say it's wrong. But those strings sound amazingly good even after 4-6 months, at least on my guitars. Personally I couldn't find better strings before.

I really like how do they sound and sets up on my Strat. The sound is very bright and thin with Ernie on the Strat, which I like the most.

Can't say anything bad about it. Cool package, nice design, and of course, really good quality every time I put them on my guitar.

Probably that's why a lot of well-known musicians use them.

Once these strings have settled into the guitar they both pick and strum well. when picking they have a warm sound that comes across when the guitar is unplugged.

Slinky...you're not kiddin'...

Purchased these for my son to use on his Jackson. Blimey are they slinky!. I suppose my old weathered , gnarley hands are used to trying to bend strings that you could build fences with, I like to feel my fingers work when I'm playing. But these boys are light as a feather, ok not my cup of tea but my son says they are exactly what he wants. I suppose for all that whizzing up and down the fretboard that he does they are ideal...but give me a big Paul Kossoff power chord (showing my age again...just google Koss) and these I feel are a bit light on it. I'm not going to mark them down on this review as they wre purchased for my son not me and for what he wants, they are ideal.

Great string

Great strings with very long durability. I'm never going back to anything else than these. The last forever, and sounds amazing! Very easy to tune the first time, not much pulling needed.

Fine strings for electric guitars

Nickels are some of the most popular of the Ernie Ball Slinky guitar strings. The 2223 Nickel Super Slinky is crafted from nickel-plated, steel wire wrapped around a hex-shaped, steel core wire. The plain strings are made of specially tempered, tin-plated high carbon steel, producing a well-balanced tone for your guitar...

Ernie Ball strings, whether they are super/regular/hybrid or whatever, are the best I have ever played.........I have tried everything out there. Ernie balls have never let me down. They don't break for no reason. The balls don't ever unwind. They don't go flat prematurely. They don't go out of tune from simple bending. They keep their edge longer than anything else. You can't go wrong with these things. I use the super slinky's on my strat. I love to use the regular sliky's on the les paul and sg style guitars. I use the heavy/light hybrids on the telecaster. They all work great! There is a reason that there are so many well known names on the back of the Ernie Ball package.

Keep on Rockin' :-)

Quality over years!

What can you even say about new Ernie Ball strings ?

Well now since almost 50 years, the company Ernie Ball and their strings stand out by quality and new innovations.

This set of strings with the strengths of 009 , 011 , 016 , 024 , 034 , 042 , for the electric guitar , is as always, extremely resistant and rust and take the dirt on very slowly. This allows longer fun and saves you the hassle of multiple and changing the strings.

Since it is the thinnest version of Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings in this set , you can grab the strings with little effort and faster and easier to play than comparable thicker string sets . Bends are with this 009- set a breeze.

For guitarists who some times want to bend a whole tone or semitone who tune their guitars down, I'd recommend a thicker set of strings , because this just sounds better than a thinner.

All in all , the sound is second to none, the highs are very good and also the bass sounds very voluminous.

Reliable Old Standard.

I've used Super Slinky's for about 20 years and have never had any issues with them. They rarely break, although I must admit I don't bend the strings like mad. Once stretched they hold tune well, unlike some other strings I've tried, and the gage is just perfect for me. Not too light and not too thick on the fingers. They seem to stay in shape for a good length of time. Just very good, solid, well made strings. Recommended.

Great and cheap strings!

The Ernie Ball Super Slinky set is one of these sets that I've used on and off for years. They have a great sound and feeling! Very great strings!

When I playing these strings fresh and straight from the packet they feel so smooth. I was not expecting these when i first used them because of the price, and they do not take long to stretch in so this is very convenient if you are playing a gig the night you restring your guitar ;)
