For passive speaker you can't go wrong. For this price range the sound and quality is outstanding.

Overall great sounding speaker

Use: Use them for gigging at weekends. Play guitar, stompbox, vocal and harmonica. Gigs are usually small, so i mostly just put one up and use the other as a monitor...

The sound from these speakers is very clear, loads of power and can fill most rooms no problem.

Pros: a bit big, not too heavy and sometimes the grill can get dented in if you lean it up against your chest lifting it in.

Overall, i'm happy with these, sound great, loads of power, if you want a big solid sound, EV's won't let you down.

I'm surprised by the good quality of these speakers, looks great, durable material, quality components that give clear sound!

I have used it for 1 year now and i have no problems with them,it was an upgrade from my oldest 12"EV .I will stick with EV it sounds better that many other speakers on this price!

One of the best speakers in this money category

Very well build quality and I like the fact that the speaker box is very slim and its easy to transport and store. very high spl and good soubd quality at any volume, I've been using them for a year now and I am very satisfied with the way they still sound. As long as you use the right amp and dont fry them, they should last long and get many hours of use.

I don't think you can get more quality at this price range, these speakers certainly do the job well without a sub in smaller rooms, as they are punchy enough if you eq it right. As with any other speaker, if you're going to have events in larger rooms, you absolutely need one or twu subs.

The next purchase will certainly be the #lx 112 as i dont have much space in my car atm, they will be paired with the Elx 118
