Excelent sound and quality

For passive speaker you can't go wrong. For this price range the sound and quality is outstanding.

Overall great sounding speaker

Use: Use them for gigging at weekends. Play guitar, stompbox, vocal and harmonica. Gigs are usually small, so i mostly just put one up and use the other as a monitor...

The sound from these speakers is very clear, loads of power and can fill most rooms no problem.

Pros: a bit big, not too heavy and sometimes the grill can get dented in if you lean it up against your chest lifting it in.

Overall, i'm happy with these, sound great, loads of power, if you want a big solid sound, EV's won't let you down.

Very good quality speaker

I'm surprised by the good quality of these speakers, looks great, durable material, quality components that give clear sound!

I have used it for 1 year now and i have no problems with them,it was an upgrade from my oldest 12"EV .I will stick with EV it sounds better that many other speakers on this price!

One of the best speakers in this money category

Very well build quality and I like the fact that the speaker box is very slim and its easy to transport and store. very high spl and good soubd quality at any volume, I've been using them for a year now and I am very satisfied with the way they still sound. As long as you use the right amp and dont fry them, they should last long and get many hours of use.

I don't think you can get more quality at this price range, these speakers certainly do the job well without a sub in smaller rooms, as they are punchy enough if you eq it right. As with any other speaker, if you're going to have events in larger rooms, you absolutely need one or twu subs.

The next purchase will certainly be the #lx 112 as i dont have much space in my car atm, they will be paired with the Elx 118

Great Sound

Bought these to replace a pair of old wharfdale speakers i was using.. the clarity is great and good build quality too! would highly recommend!!!!!

The EV ELX115 is a brilliant speaker by EV it has great clarity on mids and tops the only fault with it is the design on the back it shaped like a 50cent piece for carring on hand trucks,if your stacking then one on top of the other it can be a bit wobbly. The weight is perfect not to heavy for the back over all a brilliant speaker.

Prefect for the mobile DJ

Great performance, not to heavy. Sounds great in combination with my EV Q99 and EV subs. A great sound is a combination of your equimpment.

The finishing of the speakers is good.

Ev ELX 115

Very good 15" speakers and very easy to transport. They have a really great clear sound and they fill any medium to large room with sound. I have used these speakers a lot and I am happy with my purchase.

great speaker to fill up larger rooms

I have these speakers for only two hrs but wow they are impressive. Comparing them with my Peavey messengers 15", these speakers sound more clear (at high or low levels) and they dont need as much equalization. You put a song and they play it nice with all EQ's flat. Build quality is also nice (so far). Punchy warm bass and nice mids and highs. My previous speakers were lacking clear midranges and highs. So these more than make up for it. What u pay is what u get. With certain mp3's they sound like there was a subwoofer in the room.

Good speakers

Got two of these EV ELX 115 and use them as mains in a medium sized church. They are driven by one QSC GX 7 which provides plenty of power and more headroom than probably needed. They are mounted on Millennium wall mounts. They sound very good and crisp but the sound is a little to sharp so brought the high frequencies down a bit with eq. They also have enough bass to be used without a sub but it improves the sound. They play very loud and would not be worried that, at least for us, we would “max them out”. The grill is not very sturdy and easily bends and get dents in it but the speakers hold for normal use, no problem.

I am very satisfied with the outstanding sound quality of EV ELX 115 Passive Loudspeakers, in the whole audible frequencies range. I also like its beautiful front design, which made decide to use them in my living room as part of my surround home cinema system (7.1 Yamaha RX-V671 AV Receiver) as well;L & R main speakers, placed on some nice low positioned cabinets. I like them so much that I have a plan to buy also the EV ELX 118P Active Subwoofer in the nearer future. Though the latter looks a bit expensive for me at the moment, I assume has at least same outstanding sound quality.
