Excelent sound and quality

For passive speaker you can't go wrong. For this price range the sound and quality is outstanding.

One of the best speakers in this money category

Very well build quality and I like the fact that the speaker box is very slim and its easy to transport and store. very high spl and good soubd quality at any volume, I've been using them for a year now and I am very satisfied with the way they still sound. As long as you use the right amp and dont fry them, they should last long and get many hours of use.

I don't think you can get more quality at this price range, these speakers certainly do the job well without a sub in smaller rooms, as they are punchy enough if you eq it right. As with any other speaker, if you're going to have events in larger rooms, you absolutely need one or twu subs.

The next purchase will certainly be the #lx 112 as i dont have much space in my car atm, they will be paired with the Elx 118

Great speakers, excellent power, ease of lifting and big 1.5' tweeter.

Good speakers

Got two of these EV ELX 115 and use them as mains in a medium sized church. They are driven by one QSC GX 7 which provides plenty of power and more headroom than probably needed. They are mounted on Millennium wall mounts. They sound very good and crisp but the sound is a little to sharp so brought the high frequencies down a bit with eq. They also have enough bass to be used without a sub but it improves the sound. They play very loud and would not be worried that, at least for us, we would “max them out”. The grill is not very sturdy and easily bends and get dents in it but the speakers hold for normal use, no problem.
