Great Sound and Functionality for the Price

This is an excellent option for any band/DJ on a budget. it gives you everything you need in a neat and portable package for half the price of a top end active speaker.

They sound great too! ofcourse the price leads to a slight compromise to the sound quality, but it certainly isn't noticable in practise.

We use them as stage monitors or just a PA for rehearsal and they do both jobs really well. would highly recommend these.

Not the first EV speaker I would own( I have the ZLX 15)

The truth is the sound is crisp and very clear. Sometimes, I plug in a saxophone mic and it brings out the sound perfectly.

The speaker is great. The sound is excellent. The speaker lacks bass. I like that it is compatible with other series of subwoofers.

Sounds fantastic, you have a lot of control concerning the sound and amp settings, and it is incredibly sturdy.

Bargain for sure

I've been using it for a year so far and it's one of the best purchases I have ever done! I mostly use it for small gigs and the sound is always clear with a tough attack. It has a vast range of options, wonderful quality and just looks great. I will definitely recomment it to anyone looking for a speaker.

Great for live bands

very clear quality, i use them with the ev elx200-18sp wonderful combo! we use them in a medium size building (150 people) with a full band 2 vocals 2 chorus, piano, 2 guitars, drums, base guitar, and you hear everything very clearly

Absolutely AMAZING

One of the best 12" speakers you could buy.

First, love the light weight but strong built and the sound is great, clear nice, the speaker push up to 1000watt. Great for personal or business, I’m using it in for weddings. Great buy.

Used in acoustic band

Two ZLX12P as FOHs since two years and LD systems MAUI 5 behind us as monitor now. This combination give us a perfect solution for our performances with mostly micked instruments. Those ZLXs has very nice sound, not so sharp as RCF and not "disco deep" as some others. I fully recommend them for small ensambles.

excellent speaker

I am a professional musician and have a dozen QSC K12's. I love them, but they are very expensive. The ZLX 12P comes in at 1/2 the price, but is an excellent alternative to the pricey QSC. I bought 8 of these and I am very happy. I do find the bass and there is too much bottom end, but with the handy DSP I can change that and tweak it to my liking. I highly approve and recommend this speaker.

Great as PA for acoustic set

Use

I'm using a set as PA for small venues when playing with an acoustic band (either piano/vocals, piano/vocals/guitar or piano/vocals/small drum set).

Clarity

The sound is pretty clear, paired with my Soundcraft EFX8. No hissing problems, and for it's price, you probably can't get a better deal.

Pros:

Low price, Sturdy Build, 3 handles in total for easy transport, not very heavy.

Cons:

None for now.

Comprehensibility:

Just plug and play, the DSP is easy to use, nothing else to add.

Final note:

If you're playing around with a small band in relatively small venues where you don't want to turn the volume knob to 11, those speakers will be your savior.

Excellent Speakers

Excellent Active speakers. I've had these for 5 years and they are still going great.

I use these as FOH for solo weddings and pubs. I also then use them as monitors for band gigs. They perform excellently for both applications. The controllers on the rear are simple and effective.
