Top class

This, in my opinion is the best most durable and universal snare drum head on the market for its cost.

I bought my first one of these drum heads two years ago and have loved it ever since. The range of sounds that you can get is amazing, whether you are looking for a tight poppy sound or a loose gritty sound, this drum head can do it.

It took two years of heavy playing and bumps and scratches before I decided a new one of these so I would highly reccomend this to anybody who wants a great drum head at a great price.

making bad snare good, and good snare even better

my favourite snare drum head. very long lasting and the sound is perfect.

enough sustain, enough dampening by thin inner ring, and it gives the rich and powerful tone to the snare.

no cons. i would definitely recommend this one.

All-Round Solid Performer

For the most part this drum head gives a solid attack, medium sustain and pretty good tone.Having been using this head over a year now and only just needing replacement, it's a tough one! I use this on my Gretsch Catalina Maple 14" x 5.5" in a kit context for Rock and Pop bands so it has been doing the rounds with cover bands, dep work etc.

As someone who finds tuning drums difficult, especially snare drums, this head has always been relatively easy to get a nice sound from. The head itself lies very flush against the bearing edges, which makes it easier maintaining consistent tension around it. I had been playing the head regularly for almost a month before it started to erode the batter coating.

Aesthetically, if using painted sticks it will leave colour marks rather easily. A minor issue albeit, but also because of my sharp metal hoops I shed wood quickly which lodges itself in the small gap between.

With the genres I normally play in, the tone generally suits the vibe. For someone else it may not be a 'dry' enough head. Would definitely recommend to like-minded drummers,

Good quality controlled but open sound.

A new head for me. Fitted to my LM400 and I'll probably use it again. Nice controlled sound without being overly dead. Good live head then.
