Really low quality compared to older hard cases by Fender

I grew up in a home with Fender vintage guitars. I recently bought a 1976 Fender P-Bass, which came without the hardcase, so (based on the quality of modern molded plastic Fender cases) I thought I'd rather buy a new one. For my surprise, when the case arrived I noticed the construction and materials used are very cheap. After a few years carrying my bass around, I don't think these new hard cases will endure the test of time like the old ones did.
