Fun Generation USB One Reviews

Needed some upgrades, works well. For this price it's ok.
Basic but reliable
This is very basic microphone. Best for some chats, you can record music too but the quality is about 5-7 of 10.
I use it for recording my brass instruments and it always sounds quite fade. Regardless that I enjoyed lot of fun and definitely made a progress.
If you need to check how few voices sound together this will 100% do enough. I wouldn't recomend it for public records though.
Does the job
Works as well as expected for the price, it's not a high end mic so don't expect the world
Good for simple use
Actually I am pleasently surprised by this cheap microphone, sure it's not top level, but it works fine for me, I needed this for some classes and some videos with audio. The recordings were much better compared to those with my laptop microphone, so for me it was a good deal.
Erschreckend Gut
Wonderful for vocals and zoom.
Would generally use for amateur recording of female vocals. since it picks up the lows very well, but still sounds great on male vocals. 0 buyers remorse, a wonderful mic, at a wonderful price,
Such an amazing microphone for such a cheap price, was not expecting it at all. Would recommend 100%
Great solution for hybrid model of distance learning
We received feedback on excellent sound quality from several schools in which we already implemented a hybrid model of distance learning.
Fun Generation USB One
For the price it?s very good. It?s a good mic for beginners
Poor sound
Very poor sound, but for this amount of money,it's ok..
First time at home recording ?
I'm not very technically minded, so any plug & play stuff is ideal for me This mic absolutely & 100% fits the needs for my basic hobby of home recording, making me a very happy customer. Superb value for money.
Brilliant value for money, flakey usb cable
I bought some of these as cheap USB mics for video calls and recording youtube videos in very basic studios. My mum has one and the other is on loan.
They are NOT large diaphram condensers, they are a small condenser in a large case. Still, they have a much larger capsule than you'd find in your webcam and the sound is very full and balanced.
I think my mum described it best as "that sounds like you rather than you on the telephone or you pretending to read the news" I think i should clarify that some as I tend to use whatever studio mic i have to hand when I make a youtube or a videocall and tend to have a very radio shock-jock or newsreader sound set up, it's very clear but it's also a "sound" rather than natural me. I'm not trying to say this is an AT4035, U87, or something I'd use to record a singer but it's not particularly flavoured either.
It's only 16 bit, which is enough for video call purposes, and it can do 44.1 and 48kHz but no better.
I wish it had an internal preamp booster, as it can be a bit quiet at times, easy enough to sort but sometimes required a bit of lateral thinking and it's maybe a a bit quiet used unprocessed.
But it's riduculously cheap and absolutely slays the competition at this price.
Had a little trouble getting it to work with my iMac
At first my iMac could not see this USB device. I eventually went into through the Apple menu; About this Mac; System Report; Audio. Then i clicked on the USB Microphone device shown. from then on it has worked fine and shows up in the Sounds menu. I did the same on my MacBook and it works fine there too now. Great mic and has improved my communication in Zoom meetings no end.
Great upgrade from a built-in microphone
Bought to upgrade my 9 year olds studio. Uses it with an iPad using GarageBand and it works great via the lightening adapter (bought separately). The sound recorded is much better than the built in microphone. He loves it.
Brilliant!
Beautifully warm tone, perfect clarity. Was quite apprehensive when ordering this due to it being so cheap but damn, the sound is on par with a lot of higher end mics
Great mic for the price, high quality and low noise
#### Great budget mic for quality, build and sensitivity####
This is a great quality microphone for the budget, very sturdy building, nice looking and useful connection to a mic stand or tripod. Used with MacBook Pro through a daw, no installation needed, super fast, great quality and almost no noise (electrical or other) great sensitivity and no problems at all. I recommend this to anyone looking for a budget mic but a serious one, not a toy. Highly recommended
great
I use this for online teaching. It's cheap but really effective, clear and has good direction. No complaints
Way more than decent, plug'n'play and bang for the buck!
I was looking for a cheap USB microphone to record 6string and 12string acoustic guitars in my living room.
Well, that does the job.
First of all, it's plug and play, I use it on Win10 and I don't have to do anything more than to just plug it in. It immediately shows up on the recording sources lists and the only thing you have to do is to just select it on your DAW (Reaper and Audacity in my case).
I have zero issues with noise, I place it about 12-15 intches away from the 12th fret/soundhole and it captures the sounds nicely.
In terms of features, I would love it to have a gain knob (just to push a few dbs) but that's alright, we are still talking about a 20 euro microphone.
No regrets here.
Good quality and sound
Plug and play, worked very well for me. The sound quality upgrade from my laptop mic is immense, very good for its price. Build quality is also ok, looks more expensive than it is, sounds also much better than one would expect for such a price.
