Good quality power supply.

Bought as a safer and more professional way of powering all of my rack equipment. Does it's job nicely! It's great being able to turn off everything with just one switch also!

Would have been nice to have included power cables, as this unit is useless without them! so make sure you order as many of them that you need as well!

The starting point of your studio rack ...

I got the Furman M-10x E for my home studio rack. I use it to locally power outboard rack equipment. This equipment consists of a mixer, multi-effects unit and a compressor. I also power some other equipment off it. The Furman can be considered a very fancy high spec plug board, as all the equipment is powered from the one location. Having the one On/Off switch on the front of the unit to isolate power is very convenient. It is also comforting to know that the equipment is protected from any surges/spikes that may happen in the supply. Living in a built up area the 'Quality' of the power supply is not great, but since getting a power conditioner, the background noise has been considerably reduced. Anyone thinking of getting rack equipment should consider a power conditioner, as it really is the starting point of a clean signal path.

A reliable and robust product

I'm using the Furman M-10x E in my rack stage set up rig, in my hybrid (analog-digital) recording studio rig and in several clubs DJ booths set up. I had this noise in my studio monitors when tracking or sometimes when mixing in a club and never knew where it came from. I introduced it in my set up and the problem was solved immediately.

I used to pack a big box full of power sockets and many other adapters to different live shows and venues before I came upon this product.

Now the Furman M-10x E is installed in my 19'' rack and did solved all that hustle of the cable cluster. It surely looks great in any 19'' rack rig, its robust and just blend perfectly in with other equipment.

The 10x rear connections are great but an additional power on and off switch buttons for each of the ten connections would have been even more helpfull because there's a lot of equipment out there without any on and off switches.

The moment you switch the Furman M-10x E on, you can't controll the powerflow anymore to all switches because all connections are obviously powered. The other point is also that, when the Furman M- 10x E is switched on, you can't plug any equipment or remove it because of the fear that you might burn some of your precious equipment. I am using it on a daily basis professionally for almost two years now and never had any dissapointment. Great product!

No nonsense

I just wanted something which would allow me to connect other devices and provide surge protection and power conditioning to a basic level. This does both of these things and is a well built piece of kit.

Power Protection

I hope it is never needed, but I am reassured that my amps are protected from power problems. I don't need 10 outlets as it is only protecting a pre-amp and power amp, all mounted in a transportable rack (case), but maybe I will in the future.

I forgot to buy EEC Plug to EEC Socket cables so had to sort them out locally. (Would be nice to have a reminder in the Furman description text, but that is not a gripe.)

Simple and accurate

I use it at my studio as the power source of my rack and pc

and also as a conditioner.

Till now nothing happened so i could test it , thank god, and so i forget that i have it.

It does not have any lights or display but it works just great. and furman is well known for their products.

so it may be the cheapest but it gets it done !

I think its work :-)

I think its work, because it's difficult to understand, how its behave in extreme situations. In any case all equipment attached to this work well without any problems.

Good thing

It's a good product, protects your gear, I have it in a rack, so set up is quicker at each gig, less power cords to plug in, one click everything is on. Cuts funny electrical noises from the building. A worthy investment.

Has yet to let me down; 4 years and counting...

Bought my unit in 2011 for power distribution to my rack units, mixer, monitors and studio computer. The front outlet is very handy for powering pedal PSUs, it noticeably reduces AC noise in guitar/bass signals. It has worked trouble free for 4 years and I'm nothing but satisfied with it's performance.

Great Product.

This product is very simple to use and it looks far better in the rack than other units I've previously owned, with its brushed metal finish. It seems sturdy and well built and I haven't noticed any heat issues, which can be a problem with power conditioners.

The single outlet on the front is useful for plugging in a moveable piece of equipment, for example, I often use it for my Telefunken tube power supply, which is connected to a thru panel at the bottom of the rack.

For the price I really can't see any flaws and based on my experience so far I would definitely recommend it.

Suitable for live

This unit powers my live rig perfectly well. Turn it on and I'm good to go, safe in the knowledge my gear is protected and being given all the juice it needs.

I power a couple of keyboards, outboard rack unit and interface although I imagine I could do more.

Great Unit For The Price

I'm currently using this to power my guitar amp, effects pedals and my various rack units. Noise levels have noticeably decreased in my setup since adding this unit and it provides a handy power switch for the few units I have that do not have their own independant on/off switch.

Reasonably pleased

This unit works very well in my home studio. I have it powering my audio interface, headphone amplifier and 2 sets of studio monitors.

Slight quality issue, in that 2 of the outputs are mis-aligned, and won't accept the NRL power connectors. I don't need them at the moment, and the shipping costs mean it doesn't make sense to return the unit. The other outputs are fine.

I'm assuming this is a quality control issue, and normally, this unit is perfect.

Excellent upgrade to any rack

Straight forward power conditioner and supply. If you have invested in your A/V equipment that this kind of unit is a must.

Currently it is powering all my audio and video monitors, sound cards, rack mount interfaces and desktop PC.

Be sure to check NRL cables as they have to be bought separately.

Indispensable for our studio rack

We got the Furman to ensure our precious practice room rack would not suffer from power fluctuations or have unwanted noise from the electrical supply. It does this job perfectly. Currently supporting one power amp, one compressor, one computer and one mixing desk, takes little space and has many power outlets. Can meet the needs of most small/medium racks/studios. Highly recommended.

Very cheap and very usefull device!

I connect to this Furman most units of my home studio:

8-core mac pro, 32" monitor, 2 rackmount audio interfaces, 88-keys Kurzweill, pair of studio monitors. All works greatly during 4 month. I think that I would connect more units without problems.
