Simple and clean

It neatens up the whole space, less cables going into the wall and some peace of mind when it comes to power spikes and surges. I haven't noticed any changes in noise in my system but to be fair I don't think there was noticeable noise there to begin with. You could go for a more expensive option but for my needs the Furman M-10x E is great. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I use this to power my computer, interface and monitors.

It's very basic and simple, but it provides a some protection for the equipment. It looks and feels sturdy enough and I haven't had a problem with it yet!

You need it

When running a little studio and having all those unplugged plugs. They need to be plugged somewhere. This furman protect your gear as stated in an add. However it is probably not a conditioner it only has an RMI filter and deffinately doesnt have isolated outputs. Maybe only left side of the plugs on the rear from the right hand side. It took me sometime of experimenting how to plug my gear and have lowest possible hum and hiss coming from recordings. Now it works so I dont touch it anymore. It doesnt do miracles on other sources of hiss but can help silencing the source.

Fantastic

really would recommend one of these... powers all of my rack gear (around 7 different units) efficiently.. doesn't get hot.. doesn't add any noise or make any noise.. cleared up a hum I was getting from one of my compressors also

My one downfall with the order was that the power cable for the unit wasn't long enough for my studio set up.. so hardly anything to complain about!

the power socket on the front is great for quick equipment plug ins use it all the time

Goo. reliable product

I use it for all my lights. I need two of those to be able to load balance the needed power but since some of the gigs are powered by dubious power generators and the electronics in the light heads are so sensible, use these devices to prevent irreversible damage.

Better safe than sorry

If you have gear in your studio which costs a lot of money this product is a must have. You might never need it but that one time can save you and your gear from electricity issues.

Reassuring power management

When I got all this gear, powered by kettle leads, I wondered how I'd power them without blowing fuses left right and centre. The Furman answers that. I've got 4 rack units and one speaker being powered through it (I haven't got a cable long enough to power the other one yet...) and so far, so good. Can't really comment on how reliable it is, as you only tend to find out about dodgy electrics once it's all blown, but it's a simple unit with a "Protection OK" light on the front. Handy to have one switch to power everything - I'd recommend getting some kind of power management system and this one is doing a fine job so far.

Rack Mount Surge Protector

I installed it in my AMP rack to supply power to my amps and drive rack. I also take power from it for my dj console and lights so that it protects my equipment from surges.

Next time may be i will buy one which has the voltmeter and ammeter to monitor closely the load of my equipment.

used with no issues up to now.

Great - Remember IEC to IEC

Used this to power my entire studio rack for the past year. Briliant unit and brilliant value. I am more than happy with this product. Be sure to pick up some IEC to IEC cables to power your gear from it!

Good quality power supply.

Bought as a safer and more professional way of powering all of my rack equipment. Does it's job nicely! It's great being able to turn off everything with just one switch also!

Would have been nice to have included power cables, as this unit is useless without them! so make sure you order as many of them that you need as well!

The starting point of your studio rack ...

I got the Furman M-10x E for my home studio rack. I use it to locally power outboard rack equipment. This equipment consists of a mixer, multi-effects unit and a compressor. I also power some other equipment off it. The Furman can be considered a very fancy high spec plug board, as all the equipment is powered from the one location. Having the one On/Off switch on the front of the unit to isolate power is very convenient. It is also comforting to know that the equipment is protected from any surges/spikes that may happen in the supply. Living in a built up area the 'Quality' of the power supply is not great, but since getting a power conditioner, the background noise has been considerably reduced. Anyone thinking of getting rack equipment should consider a power conditioner, as it really is the starting point of a clean signal path.

No nonsense

I just wanted something which would allow me to connect other devices and provide surge protection and power conditioning to a basic level. This does both of these things and is a well built piece of kit.

Power Protection

I hope it is never needed, but I am reassured that my amps are protected from power problems. I don't need 10 outlets as it is only protecting a pre-amp and power amp, all mounted in a transportable rack (case), but maybe I will in the future.

I forgot to buy EEC Plug to EEC Socket cables so had to sort them out locally. (Would be nice to have a reminder in the Furman description text, but that is not a gripe.)

Simple and accurate

I use it at my studio as the power source of my rack and pc

and also as a conditioner.

Till now nothing happened so i could test it , thank god, and so i forget that i have it.

It does not have any lights or display but it works just great. and furman is well known for their products.

so it may be the cheapest but it gets it done !

I think its work :-)

I think its work, because it's difficult to understand, how its behave in extreme situations. In any case all equipment attached to this work well without any problems.

Good thing

It's a good product, protects your gear, I have it in a rack, so set up is quicker at each gig, less power cords to plug in, one click everything is on. Cuts funny electrical noises from the building. A worthy investment.

Has yet to let me down; 4 years and counting...

Bought my unit in 2011 for power distribution to my rack units, mixer, monitors and studio computer. The front outlet is very handy for powering pedal PSUs, it noticeably reduces AC noise in guitar/bass signals. It has worked trouble free for 4 years and I'm nothing but satisfied with it's performance.

Great Product.

This product is very simple to use and it looks far better in the rack than other units I've previously owned, with its brushed metal finish. It seems sturdy and well built and I haven't noticed any heat issues, which can be a problem with power conditioners.

The single outlet on the front is useful for plugging in a moveable piece of equipment, for example, I often use it for my Telefunken tube power supply, which is connected to a thru panel at the bottom of the rack.

For the price I really can't see any flaws and based on my experience so far I would definitely recommend it.

Suitable for live

This unit powers my live rig perfectly well. Turn it on and I'm good to go, safe in the knowledge my gear is protected and being given all the juice it needs.

I power a couple of keyboards, outboard rack unit and interface although I imagine I could do more.

Great Unit For The Price

I'm currently using this to power my guitar amp, effects pedals and my various rack units. Noise levels have noticeably decreased in my setup since adding this unit and it provides a handy power switch for the few units I have that do not have their own independant on/off switch.
