Best monitor for the price range

Incredibly clear and well-rounded output for how much this speaker costs. By far the best solution for small control rooms/bedroom studios that look for a high end sound without spending a crazy amount.

Best for small home recording studio needs

Yes it is pricey compared to the budget popular brands but it is worth every cent once you hear it in action. The monitors could feel they lack some low end but for the smaller room there would be much more trouble to handle that extra low end. I feel this is a perfect choice for small home recording studios. If you cant live without that extra oomph, get a sub to compliment them.

Genelec 8030 CP

As important as what monitors you use, make sure your room is correctly treated. This is a very detailed studio monitor. It is of amazing quality and very nice to mix on. The quality ad sound you can expect of a good pair of Genelec monitors. If this is your only set, get a sub. I have other 8" Monitors that I use for mixing the bottom end.

Great sound at a great price

There’s a reason Genelec is one of many studios cornerstone. It gives accurate, clean sound without hassle. I use them mainly for multichannel sound installations, and to be able to get familiar sounds every time is valuable. Saved me so much time

Can't go wrong

These are amazing and accurate. Best used with a sub though. I used swissonic sub 10 for years crossed at 80hz and worked great.

Amazing monitor speakers

I have Genelec 8030 speakers, they are really amazing, so I decided to buy this one. I bought this for my Apolo twin sound card. The result is really amazing, the sound is great.

I love my Gennies

My first set of Gennies and very impressed how they sound. They might be a tad flattering yet are analytical enough to perfect the mix but allowing me enjoy the sound in the process.

Perfect home studio speaker for Hifi and production

Nice industrial build, only non perfection are the jointing gap between the al enclosure have very tiny amount of unevenness on gap distance to be "Japanese" type of detail attention

Dip switches adapted to my very tiny room (4 m2) producing near perfect response and a very clear, detailed sound. If anything to be improved I would say the sensitivity, it's too sensitive even set to -6dB, where beside my preamp near lowest setting I need to control volume digitally through my DAC

Proper monitors

I use these in my tiny acoustically treated garden studio. I upgraded from KRK VXT8s which were too big for this room.

These are Genelecs . They are not toys. Mixes translate.

Is there anything more to say

Genelec never disappoints, even with the small woofer they are still a beast. Perfect audio clarity, pretty sharp and awesome mid and low ends.

this is amazing pure sound

small monitors with great sound. made of aluminum. very light. have deep bass. work is a pleasure. wide stereo. when compared with yamaha hs7. they are better than yamaha. and are not much more expensive but worth it. in a small room a sub is not needed. I generally advise you to buy. it’s not for nothing that people speak well about generals. In genelec, I am satisfied. the toman as always delivered quickly. and at a good price. thanks

Couldn't ask for more

Upgraded from KRK Rokit 8" and I couldn't be happier.

The sound is crystal clear and the build quality is so solid. Took some time to get used to the flat sound, since Rokits were a bit boosted on the low end.

I'm very happy with the purchase.

Best investment

Bought a pair of these lovely toys several weeks ago. It is so surprising, how much can come out of a little 5" box. So much clarity, detail, and even lows. 8030 CP is super lightweight, easy to transport for daily production requirements. Been using them both for broadcasting and mixing/editing at home. Haven't found disadvantages so far :)

A joy to work with

Best solution for a small studio set up, don?t let the size fool you, they do sound bigger than they are. I make bass heavy music and the response from these are very focused and transients are clear without being fatigued.

Can?t live without them now.

Great for desk setup

I got these to have on a desk (using K&M 23310 stands to lift them 20 cm) with a laptop in the middle and the speakers on each side. They perform really well in this setup, even though the room is untreated. Position them in the right triangle and the stereo image is great. They can play super loud. Bass is there, even though the woofers are just 5".

The goods were received perfectly. A qualitative improvement over the multimedia box I used before. Sure is the style I want. Thank you
