So comfortable!!!!

This Gibraltar drum throne is the most comfortable thing I’ve ever sat on for a kit. Really solid back support - makes a big difference when playing for long periods of time. Would highly recommend!!

MONEY FOR NOTHING.

Good seat. Nice swirl adjustment. Well done, but for this money you can get two normal thrones. Soft, comfortable, nice stuff, but the backrest is not really helpful. Bit heavy. It is o.k.

Gibralter 9608MB Drum Throne

I purchased this drum throne in May of 2020, to compliment a drum set that a relation of mine had recieved as a present. He got the drum kit but didn't get a throne to go with it. As any drummer will tell you, not having the correct seat will make long band sessions/gigs very uncomfortable.

I chose this drum throne as it has a back support which is crucial, when you consider what a physically demanding job that the drummer does. Drummers need good tools just like any good tradesperson. Gibraltar has a fine reputation for manufacturing top notch and reasonably affordable drum accessories.

I had reason recently to borrow this throne to do a session for a friend and I enjoyed being behind the kit again and finishing the session without any back pain or strain. I Highly highly recommend this model. Gibraltar never dissappoints.

Perfect for the back, easy to adjust

Having back problems, I need to rest my back between songs and the Gibraltar 9608MB Drum throne really helps here!

Comfortable, solid and easy to use, to me it's worth putting the price!

I used to play on crappy stools or stools that were wearing out after a few years. I have this one for 2 years already and I see no sign of use so far.

Sturdy and confortable

I really needed a throne with a back rest and this one was a perfeect choice. Although i would like to add that tall people might have the rest too low for them even if it is set in the max height. Still, i have a tall friend that didn't complain about that and i feel like i can play for longer without my back starting to complain. I recommend

6 Years On, Going Strong

This trooper of a chair has been carrying the weight of my fat arse (which is getting fatter as the years go on) for 6 years on my home kit. I bought this throne as I had damaged nerves in my neck and my cheap starter throne was exacerbating this problem.

Well, as well as reversing my back and neck pain, playing drums actually became therapeutic for it when I ordered this chair. I sit down, play, and the back rest cushions my lumbers and after a 20-30 minute session (with stretches before hand) my back feels like I've just completed Yoga! Amazing!

A slight drawback is lack of adjustability of the rest on the throne, wish it could come a tiny bit more forward, but that's only a minor complaint. Also it is quite heavy so it doesn't really suit to be transporting to gigs in your mums hatchback, other than that I'm very happy with the 9608MB!

Excellent product, but a bit heavy

It is a great product, very stable, very sturdy and comfortable as well. Price is also very good. The only catch is that it is not that quick to assemble and disassemble and all together, it is very heavy.

Compact studio chair

I don't use this throne for drumming, but as an all-purpose studio chair. It has a small footprint and breaks down compactly if needed. The foot is super sturdy and well made. Quite heavy, but that also gives a sense of secure sitting.

The seat is OK, but not as refined as the seat of the dome stool (Gibraltar 9608D), which I also have. The cloth is a little more "sandpapery" than the dome's cloth, which has a very nice feel to it. But it is by far not as "sharp" as the velvet used by Tama. The metal support plate of the 9608MB is a little more crude in finishing quality than the very nice support cross underneath the dome seat of the 9608D. The shape of the saddle seat is suitable for all-purpose sitting and at the same time is rather compact, especially compared to normal seats. So when space is limited in your studio room (or control room) this one will be a good model to consider.

The back rest is adjustable up and down and back and forth. I wish it could be moved a little more forward (and as a result less far backwards), but the range of adjustment seems to be chosen for people with a fat arse. Still, to lean back the backrest is pretty OK.

Very important to me is that a seat does not make any noises when moving your weight on it (for recording purposes). Since all adjustments can be firmly fixed this chair does not give a squeek.

Great throne

Needed a throne with backrest and took a chance on this one. Excellent price, quick delivery and no more discomfort. A little on the heavy side but well worth the extra weight.

The king of Gibraltar drum thrones, in my opinion!

As you can see in the photo and description, this drum throne has the specially-shaped seat for maximum comfort and ease of playing as well as a removable back rest for back support.

Also, of course the seat can be adjusted to rotate for full reach from left to right of the drum kit.

I will be getting a Gibraltar double bass drum rack after this.

Very stable and comfortable

With cheap drum stools I have been able to make any good experiences. Based on recommendations I bought the Gibraltar drum throne. The workmanship is very good, nothing wobbles, everything is very stable.

The rest holds also slightly larger loads without bending them. The spindle is designed so that you can quickly adjust the height. Through the rubber feet of the stool against slipping not while playing.

great stool

Comfortable and rock solid stool. Excellent for musicians: drums, guitar, keyboard and amazingly, also great for anyone who likes to just sit down. Also, doesnt take up too much space as an extra useful chair in the studio.

Comfy

Great quality drum throne, really stable on its heavy wieght bass and the back rest is really supports your back giving great postural positioning, perfect for those with a dodgy back. If there was such a thing as an arm chair throne then this is it

Very comfortable and durable.

The throne is sturdy and very comfortable. I wouldn't recommend this throne for soneone who is bringing it gigging as it i not very practical for transport! That being said, you could just leave the back rest off and still have a very comfortable stool.
