Nuances

Summing up the feeling of the instrument - everything is fine, but there are nuances. The guitar was sent back for replacement, so I will draw conclusions on two instruments.

In general, everything is fine with the finish, but you can find several dark dots on the body, as well as a scattering of small ones, which can be seen on close examination. In addition, in both cases, the transition from the head to the nut was not very neat. Veneer may not have the most beautiful texture (the replacement is more interesting than the first one)

In both cases, the frets were not polished, and also scratched the hand when playing.

Best Value for the Features it has.

i have had this guitar for about 5 months now and I'm in love with it. the wood work is great and the guitar feels amazing to play. The finish looked great and couldn't find a single blemish. I wouldn't consider myself anywhere near an expert or a professional, but for being a mediocre guitar player it gets the job done and more.

Great guitar, but you should keep it real

Overall, the guitar is great, but you should still temper your expectations. You're not getting a $5000 guitar for $500, yet it's still the most packed one in it's price range. Feature-wise it's pretty much unbeatabe at the moment.

Pros:

1) Perfectly setup and intonated right from the box. There's no fret buzz, no adjustment was necessary.

2) The weight is perfect at 3.345 kg (7,37 lbs?), but I have a feeling that might be just sheer luck.

3) Awesome EMGs and giant SS frets in this price range? Oh yeah.

Cons:

1) The lowest possible action is 3 mm above 12 fret. If you would like to get it any lower, you can't.

2) There are a lot of toolmarks, like, really a lot of them. Fretboard wood is beautiful, but it is scratched. Fret ends are smooth, but there are some deep scratches on one of the frets. Neck pickup cavity have some imperfections as well.

3) The finish is gorgeous and pleasant to touch, but there are some little blemishes in it.

4) Truss rod nut looks like it's been hit by a truck. The coating is chipped and the thing is corroded. I know how this happens, but should these thing be allowed in your most expensive model?

Summary: Everything is great but the cosmetics. I do not care, but maybe you do. It's frustrating and we have every right to be uspet.

If minor imperfectons would drive you nuts to the point of not playing an otherwise good guitar, better get yourself a PRS.

Side note: UPS sucks. Please find another way to ship gear to Russia. Preferably CDEK or something equally reliable. Thank you very much.

very good quality but feels a bit cheaper than my HB-35 Plus which costs less and has more pickup options like splitting coils . As a shredding guitar its tops, so perhaps the smaller size and lighter weight throw me off. Also not really comparable in sound and action to a semi-hollow body. Well worth the price if this is what you want.

Emerald axe for metal warrior \m/

Maple veneer is more nondescript than in the photo. It looks indistinct, the drawing of the tree structure is very expressionless, almost transparent, unlike the examples in the photographs.

However, the look of the face of the soundboard and the headstock looks nice.

The paintwork is well done, but not perfect. There are very minor negligence, however, this is all nonsense. The painting method is rather complicated. Part of the body is painted over, the other part exposes the wood. The neck is also not painted over, which further accentuates the attention to the neck construction through the body. I understand that for this price it is almost impossible to do this kind of paint work perfectly. The back is translucent: through a layer of green paint I can see the mahogany body and it's nice.

The neck is pretty slippery: it is covered with the same matte varnish as the body.

I am pleased with the choice of wood for the neck. The center piece of the neck was radial sawed - my compliments!

The fretboard is good. I don't know what ebony wood should be like, but the fretboard is dark throughout the entire of board. Frets is polished.

The guitar has fantastic sustain. If you disconnect the battery, these EMGs sound like passive pickups lol.

I also ran into two previously known Amarok problems:

The volume knob scratching wood. But it is enough to pull it a little and everything is ok.

I also ran into the fact that the jack was held in the socket incorrectly. I had to unscrew the the cable socet and was fold back the contact plate, which fixes the cable inside. It takes me a couple of minutes, but the problem has been relevant since the first batch of Amarok. Why it has not been fixed until now is a mystery to me.

Overall, considering the specs and this price, the guitar is amazing.

Great guitar for the price !

After a quite long time of trying to choose a new guitar for some heavier stuff (I already own the HB35 plus for some jazz/blues), I decided to go for the Amarok 6.

The guitar needed some setup since I like lower action for scale runs etc.. Of course I changed the strings also for some Ernie Balls (10-52 with an 56 on the lowest string - Drop C tuning)

After the setup I have to say that this is a banger 🔥 Harley Bentons can not stop suprising me with their products. Pickups are great, high output - no problem.

The pick-up selector feels a bit cheaper but thats nothing that can not be changed if needed.

Do not hesitate about this guitar - go for it.
