very useful pedal, I recomend to play on with single coil pickups, better sound can get with fender or squier, than gibson or Epiphone. Too much gain can disturb your sound very fast, so take your time and try to set the pedal for each guitar especially, one by one.

This is a tricky but good pedal, so far I haven't figured out where it sits perfectly in the signal chain. When used alone, either in front of the amp or in the FX loop, provides excellent results. But when you combine it with other pedals it is hard to say where it works the best.

A fun pedal for the price

Build quality ... it feels solid enough and the casing gives it a reasonable weight.

Good range of sounds - so should be easy to find sounds somewhere in the range that will be useful.

The pedal is pretty noise free - a lot less noisy than others I've tried at the lower end of the price range. The combination of voice knob and drive knob works well.

I also find it works well as a direct input to recording or through an amp.

If you like to play pretty clean sounds with a fairly low level of grit this pedal does the job a lot better than many others which are geared really towards heavy overdrive.

I can certainly recommend the pedal as excellent value for the money. Obviously if a lot more is spent it's possible to get better though.

Great pedal for the money!

This pedal is fantastic value for money. It is well made (all metal enclosure) and the construction feels reliable. Because of the 3-band EQ and the voice control (in addition to the usual volume and gain) it is very versatile and the user can achieve a wide range of sounds, from pure boost to great distortion. Another feature that adds to the versatility is that this pedal is actually an amp simulator rather than a traditional overdrive pedal, so it can be used directly into the effects loop of an amp for different output altogether. The only problem that I have found with these pedals is that they tend to introduce slight hissing to the sound, but at less than 30 Euros per pedal, that is a minor complaint. It is difficult for me to say whether the American Truetone does a good job of recreating the sound of actual Fender amps closely, but again given the price I do not particularly expect it to sound just like a vintage Fender amp.

Great pedal

I have 2 tech21 pedals and trademark 60 amp, and this pedal is in the same quality range, now i have to try some other Harley Benton products beacuse it seems they are great no mather of price.

Harley Benton American Truetone

I have to say this is one of my favourite pedals I have. Bought it for very nice price, just to see is it good as they say all over the net. It's truth. Pedal is very quality build, seems firm and durable (which we are about to see in future), no cosmetic flaws. Pots are very nice, not too tight or too untight. Runs on battery and has 9V input also.

But, love the sound very much, and options you have with pots. You have level, voice and drive for playing with it for a long time, great. Also there is a lot options to mess with frequencies. I love the voicing very much. I read somewhere that this pedal should give you fender-like tone. Experiment. For the value of this pedal I'm not sure you could get anything near good and addictive as this. Recommended.

Very nice

I bought this primarily for home recording and it does that very well. I plug it directly in the sound card. I am not sure if this thing has a speaker emulation, but it sounds like a real amp when recorded directly so I believe there is. It can go from pristine clean to real dirty. EQ knobs work really well. It's fairly responsive to pick attack and dynamics. It also takes pedals quite well. Tried ds-1, big muff and some other fuzzes with it and they all sounded authentically. Haven't tried it in front of an amp.

My Fender-esque sound

6 knobs... it takes a little bit, but at last I've found setting which makes my Strat copy sounding almost like a Tele (with bridge pickup). When I switch to neck pickup, it sounds like a true Strat - glassy and bell-sounding highs!

Excellent pedal

Although branded Harley Benton, This is made by Joyo who have a great reputation for budget effect pedal clones

This is a clone of a Tech 21 blonde pedal , a Fender amp emulator

Excellent pedal for the money !
