Unbelievable

Amazing little guitar. Looks great, well built and sounds so good for such a small guitar. Great for sitting on couch picking away. You literally can't go wrong for how good this is at this price.

Blown Away

The sound coming out of this little beauty....for the money I spent for it? I bought a Washburn back in 1989 that cost me almost $900. This just blows it away. The sustain on this guitar is unbelievable. AMAZING. Just wish I'd got the Harley Benton gig bag.

Packs a punch for a small guitar

I don't normally write reviews but I think this one definitely needs a mention. This is my 3rd Harley Benton and they just keep getting better. It's lightweight, looks amazing and sounds amazing. Customer satisfaction yet again.

Excellent parlor guitar for the price

I have owned at least nine Harley Benton guitars and this is my favorite. The instrument is small and lightweight. The neck is not too thick and feels just right with a shorter scale. The sound has a nice balance between treble and bass and good projection for such a small guitar.

Great parlor style guitar

Stunning looking and playing guitar . I’ve been playing guitar for 40years and this is worth every penny. Awesome sounds , easy to play. I have a beautiful Taylor and this plays as nice .

Great guitar

Really impressed with the guitar, very detailed sound. Its louder than the size suggests. Im a picker so not really sure how it sounds strummed. Picked its easy to highlight the notes you want. Tuners are really the only thing I could fault. Sounds muchbetter than my faith guitar

Amazing guitar for the price

I have been playing lots of acoutic guitars these past years and some of the ones I own are worth up to four times the price I paid for this little gem. Right out of the box, nothing had to be fixed or adjusted (maybe a little turn of the truss rod to lower the action a bit) but I will put lighter gauge strings before. Other than the strings that I don't like (and that is my personnal taste), this guitar is flawless. Great finish, nice abalone detail all over, tuners keep it in tune, fret ends nicely polished. Wow! All that for 300$ canadian.

I bought this guitar to carry around in my camper because it is small and light. But since it is such a beauty and has that great sound, I won't let it sit around unattended. I will be well taken care of and cherished.

If you want a nice guitar for a bargain, you can't go wrong with this one for sure.

Great Parlor Guitar

Perfect with no flaws. Plays great right out of the box. Sounds wonderful.

Solid packaging and quick 4 day shipping from Europe to the US. A real plus.

Well worth the price.

Thanks

Excellent Value

This guitar arrived very well packed and with a cover over the sound hole to protect from drying (nice touch). I let the guitar acclimatize and then took measurements of its set-up. I am luthier trained so I can easily make adjustments to the instrument and make a judgement on the fit and finish. The bone nut was cut perfectly and required no work. The relief required only a minor adjustment for my liking but it was within and acceptable range to begin. The action was actually within a perfect range for finger style and strumming. The saddle required no changes. The only issue was the finish on the neck. There was rough spray on the neck and heal. I used micromesh to polish the finish level and smooth. It easily was remedied as I have the tools to do so. This is the only reason I give the quality a rating of 4 stars. The drilled peg holes around the slotted headstock are also a bit larger than the pegs and largely goes unnoticed. This does not affect playability in any way. There was some buffing compound left on the headstock but easily removed. For the cost of this guitar and the quality and value it provides, you could not build something this nice for this cost or buy an equivalent for this price. This is my third Harley Benton and I have set-up several for other customers here in Canada. It was my experiences with the guitars of others that lead me to buy a few of my own.

A secret beauty

Sits around the couch, hops to the studio and records well, writes good songs too, travels light anywhere and it just begs you to play it.

Nicely crafted, lovely finger style sound, super comfy.

Doesn't have the dreadnought bass, but well worth it for everything else and the price is more than reasonable.

Try one as soon as possible.

It is a brilliant little parlour guitar.

Pretty as a picture so bought it for my love

I am a sucker for a guitar's looks. This is a beauty that I bought for my wife. Success! She has taken to it and it is an ideal size for a smaller frame .... though I have picked it up myself and been impressed with its intonation when straying from root chords.Cons? I cannot name one. A bargain!

The Harley Benton CLF-200 WN is a real gem!

What a sweet “parlor” style guitar. It arrived wonderfully set up right out of the box, only needing a light fret polish to be perfect. Great Woods and great tone, only lacking a little on the bottom end due to it’s smaller size. Fun to play and a fantastic bargain at this price.

Better than MF or guitar center can provide for the same price level

Guitar arrived about 10 days after order to Michigan USA.

Great product and much more bang for the buck than offerings from musicians friend or guitar center (ephiphones, Rogue etc etc)

fit finish and sound all excellent

I like shopping here now vs the above mentioned sites even with longer shipping time and 30 dollar shipping to US

Amazing Value

So...Where to start.

Right out of the box, this guitar is GORGEOUS. The conteoured shape, the bidings, the inlays, it's all very well fitted and the walnut sides and back are truly beautiful. The top is solid, with a nice grain to it. The craftsmanship is very good.

Sound wise, this thing is loud. With the strings that came stock (d'addarios 53-12), the low g is a bit muddy, but the midrange really chimes. I've changed the strings to some lighter ones 0.50-011, and the softer action coupled with the more subdued bass suits this guitar perfectly. Bottom line, it sounds really good, and not boxy at all. Still, the midrange is prevalent.

Only issue i have with it, is that the tuners are not that good. It loses intonation fairly quickly, especially if you bend a lot.

All in all, for 200€ this is an insanely good deal, and with the right strings, it can hang with much more expensive guitars.

Some years ago, it would be unthinkable getting this quality for less that 600€.

Great little parlour guitar

This little guitar far exceeded expectations and punches way above its price tag. I’ve found with parlour guitars, playing too aggressively distorts the sound so a light touch needed although responds really well to blues type finger picking. A shame there wasn’t a version with a pick up. Needed truss rod adjustment which was very easy, to sort slightly high action. One main criticism is quality of the machine heads/ tuners, which are very poor. I’ll be contacting the company soon to discuss upgrades for this and I would guess for another guitar ordered from them. This seems to be common with these low range guitars. Don’t be put off, for a solid spruce topped guitar that is beautifully made, this is great value for money and a good addition to my collection! Please sort the quality of your machine heads out!

A Lovely and Affordable Parlor Guitar!

I've been playing guitar for 22 years and had never owned a parlor guitar. Gotta say I like having one around the sofa now. This one is especially nice because it sounds good and looks great hanging on my wall and didn't cost me too much.

Pros: Looks fantastic, Sound is good, playable from the get-go, smaller size makes it ideal for sofa practice, Nut and bridge is bone and cut nicely, neck was straight, frets weren't rough or uneven, stays in tune okay.

Cons: Neck has a satin finish that makes it feel plastic even though it's mahogany, I didn't like the string it came with, frets are very small, fretboard required some dressing, tuning keys/pegs are a bit jumpy, action is a touch too high at the saddle.

In conclusion I am happy with my guitar as I know how to adjust all the cons I listed it just takes a little time and love.

What a great guitar

This guitar is beautiful to look at but has so much more. The build quality is better than I expected and I can see no flaws in the finish or build. Soundwise, because of size, the guitar has a strong treble and although the bass is not boomy, it is very clear. Highly recommended

Perfect for chill

Really beautiful guitar as a part of interior. Nice, slightly smaller then usual guitar to chill on the sofa. Not loud, just what you need to enjoy on your own.

Build quality is outstanding, I just tightened a bit screw in the neck to make it a bit flatter and that's it.

Everyone should buy one of these...I just Love it

I have never played a small bodied guitar before but after a few looks on Youtube and saw how these little guitars performed I just had to have one. Straight out of the box it just played so well, the sound from this little gem is amazing and out performs my Jumbo that I bought a few weeks ago, the finish is superb, and my buddy who came around to visit says he thought it was a £500 plus guitar...Buy one, its just a fantastic bit of kit and I can only see the prices going upward for these little beauties.

I can also take this guitar on the road as it takes very little space up so for all you budding songwriters out there its a must have....
