Outstanding Service

Guitar was received and opened without any flaws. Finish was perfect!! After setup and tuning thoroughly enjoy playing and performing. I was so very impressed with the quality of the instrument and the customer service. Outstanding from the order to the delivery.

Great guitar for what it is

Fit and finish were great, sound was good. This is a LTD viper more than a SG. It is nice light weight, and depending on your needs might want to change the pickups, but other than that its a screaming deal

For a beginner, I could say it is very good for the price.

I got this guitar for about 3-4 months now. It is my first electric guitar, I started learning on it. It is really comfortable to play, on all the frets. I have it now how I took it out of the box, just changed strings once. No setup yet, although I need one done.

One thing I need to mention is the finish in this guitar (amazing). All the frets are smooth on the edges and the wood grain is very beautiful. The neck joint is also very well made.

The tone knobs are smooth and strong, they feel really sturdy and durable. The switch is ok, it jiggles a tiny bit but does its job well so I can't complain.

The sound is good, the two pickups give a really nice tone range, but I can not tell for sure specific stuff because I am a beginner. The tuners are good, not the best, but they hold the string in tune for a good amount of time.

This is a excellent looking and built guitar.

Lovely action and a complete joy to play.

Yet another HB giant killer.

Only reason it didn't get five stars is there was some loose play on the toggle switch. Guitar still operates without any problem. Sounds great looks great. The action out of the box was spot on. Tuned it up and started playing. It really is a wonderful guitar especially for the price. My second Harley Benton . Two great guitars.

A pleasant surprise!

I really liked the guitar. The workmanship is simply amazing. There are small scratches on the pickups, but this is not critical. The neck is comfortable, but you have to get used to - glossy varnish. The sound is good, I'm not a professional, I can't find fault. Excellent value for money!

Decent for what it is

This guitar with its set neck and block inlays is really interesting, and a pretty good value for the money. Most of the other brands copying the original are either much more expensive, or bolt-on, or just very plain.

My primary gripe is that the photos on this site are very misleading. It looks like it has some sort of flame maple type veneer to it, but it does not. it's the same up and down wood pattern you would see on any other SG style guitar. So for that reason you lost a star.

Beautiful Guitar! But look carefully...

I ordered this guitar a few weeks ago. It is stunningly beautiful!!

The pickups sound amazing. It did have a few imperfections, such as the toggle switch was loose and a few hairline cracks on the fingerboard. Still is playable.

SURPRISING!!!!

I own several guitars . Vintage and new. The American BIG 3 and (replica) models. I have to say, the HB DC- 580 CH will take it's place, on the GO - TO rack, among the Fender, Gibson , and Electra group. This guitar has a basswood body Canadian maple neck ,the humbuckers are good, good tuners, solid smooth feel. Granted, the electronics and hardware are probably not top of the line, but , they do the job , pretty well. I gigged with it the first week I got it. No one in the band could believe it. They were surprised, with the sound .I used it, to play all 4 sets. The rhythm player says, "he's gonna buy one, now". This is a well made, tight and together guitar. looks good, plays good, and sounds good. This would also make fantastic guitar, for someone to mod. with their own aftermarket parts, if desired. But , as is, it's a great guitar. Mine came, action set up, bridge, neck set up and frets finished, For the price, I don't think you can find another guitar that plays, looks, and sounds, as good as this Harley Benton, for the price. I also think you would pay 2 to 3 times, or maybe 4 to 5 times as much,

for one of its quality. I have another "import guitars", that I purchased new in 1978, (SLM Electra, very good guitar), and I payed , twice as much, then,( in 1978), as I did for this guitar. I will say, I think , they are, very closely comparable. Shipping may take a little longer than usual,(about 6 weeks for mine), had to wait for it to be back in stock. But it's worth it. Every guitar player should own, at least one Harley Benton. I have ordered three more.

good for the money

there was a slight issue on the finish, and the setup was atrocious, I suspect someone that didn't know how to set up guitars would have sent this back. I ordered and received this during the COVID epidemic so perhaps staff was short at the time. Anyway, after setup, it was nice to play the sound is a bit harsh on the high end, I suspect this might be because the pickups have a ceramic magnet, something that can be changed, In conclusion, worth it for the price, hopefully yours is a bit better set up if not google how to do that and do it slowly or get the more expensive stuff. Great guitar for moding

I bought this as a practice guitar. I use it at home, usually with headphones.

It is a good guitar for the money, for the purpose I use it. The head and neck is heavy and the guitar is not balanced but thats ok. I think for gigging I would not use this guitar and would spend a bit more money for quality.

Amazing instrument for that price

I use this guitar about two months for home practising and as a beginner I'm satisfied with the sound and with the overall quality of the product, honestly if I would want to be really very picky then I'd find few tiny cosmetics details. The instrument was delivered adjusted and almost in tune, it needed just some small adjustment of tuning in octaves. From beginer's point of view it's amazing for that price.

Good

Hello everyone, I ordered this guitar to Russia, it arrived in 7 days, the build quality is up to the mark, nothing sticks out and does not cling, the sound is very good for the price. I am very satisfied, thanks tomann!

I'M HAPPY

I didn't really know what to expect at first A friend (Travis Isham) had just bought one of your guitars and called me over to see it. I knew right then I was going to get one for myself to add to my personal collection for home use and display .

i like the way it looks and feels . Mine is a deep red but you can see the wood grain through the paint . I was impressed by that. I didn't find anything about it that I didn't like so I can't help you there. I'm very happy and have ordered a second one . This time I ordered the case and a strap with it.

Thank you !

Incredible instrument for the price

Build quality is excellent, especially at the price point. Guitar came basically set up. Needed no truss rod, string height or pickup height adjustments, and just minor tweaks to get it intonated. Very impressed!
