excellent value

This pedal is a bare bones delay that sounds good for filling out leads, and can produce a nice slap back sound as well. The delays have a nice chime, and decay accurately bases on the settings. While it is limited in versatility, and its somewhat tough to dial in just the right tempo, i cannot expect much more from this type of pedal. For the price, and what it is meant to do, it does produce a pleasant chorus-y sound for solo-ing. I would say that this pedal is simple, solid, decent sounding and cheap, you can't really beat it. I would recommend this pedal.

Classic Delay

HB digital delay has the sound and easy interface of a classic slapback echo, but has the signal integrity and repeatability of a true digital delay (this really is a digital delay, but be advised, you won't be able to enter 550 ms and have the pedal match that tempo digitally; instead learn to record settings). Use of delay takes a well-trained ear, but this pedal will allow you to start training yourself on the "edgy" art of delay effects. With this pedal you don't need to worry about master settings (50, 200, 500 ms), but the sound is far from basic. With controls for time, repeat and level, it's easy to dial in a sound you like and take it away. The switch is a stompbox style dpdt, with full bypass wiring so it won't rob you of your precious tone when you go to click it off/on.

Right delay for the right price

I used this delay pedal for about a week now and is of good quality i have also purchased crunch drive long time ago from harley benton brand and is very good it works good with expensive as well as cheap guitars.

Th delay yet to be tested in gig situation and I sure will update you , but it does give me lot of confidence . Recomended

c'était très bien. et il sonnait bien le petit delay. mon guitariste rigolait du bouton très faible en résistance et de la couleur, il me disait "on verra combien de temps ça va tenir..." et bien ça a tenu deux répèt'... pourtant on fait de la pop...

Surprisingly good!

I bought this cheap pedal with the mindset of being disappointed. Well, I was proven wrong.

First thing first, I think this pedal is actually an analog pedal. It doesn't have any sort of loop in the circuit so it has to be analog, reusing the original input signal with a decay. I am not 100% sure but it sure sounds more like an analog pedal than digital.

This is just as good as any other delay pedal!

The only negative aspect of the pedal is that out of the box, the "time" adjustor stops adjusting the time at around 3'o'clock. What I mean is when you turn the time up on the pedal, it keeps going up, until you reach 3'o'clock. Then it keeps turning but doesn't change the time. I don't know if this is common or just my pedal. But there is an easy fix to that, as long as you are somewhat familiar with circuitry

A lot of delay for little money

Casing:

I tried other Harley Benton pedals before and so I was a little worried what quality I would get with this one. But if you exspect a cardboard box you are more than wrong. The pedal is built of solid metal and won´t break in the near future unless you crush it on purpose. But why would you do that? Knobs do their job as well. Nothing special here though.

Sound:

I was pretty impressed with the sound quality I got out this pedal. You won´t get spheric delay out of this one. It rather sounds like an analog echo. If you buy a delay for 30€ you exspect lesser sound quality but in my opinion the opposite is was you get! For me exactly what I was looking for.

Good pedal

This is good delay pedal for money. It sounds more like analog delay because repeats fade llike analog delay and it is max 600 ms...

Why spend more?

This digital delay is excellent, excellent adjustability loads of sounds to be had but as previously stated, be careful with cranking the Repeat knob up too far otherwise you get ear screeching feedback. Level control is good more of a blend control between wet and dry signal. No need for a more expensive unit in my opinion.

Inexpensive delay that works

Got this delay pedal for my Roland GA-112 amp to be used when playing at home. It delivers a soft echo and allows you to select the amount of repeats and the time of the delay. The tone control defines the signal throughput.

I use this with the FX loop of my amp, so no need to use the stomp switch. The stomp switch is rugged, needs a good stomp to work it. Control knobs turn smoothly. The knobs must be turned quite a lot to hear a difference in the sound, a small twist will not have a radical change in sound.

No tap tempo, but if you don't need it, this is worth the cheap price. Got an external power source connected, so can't tell about battery life if operating with a 9V battery.

Harley Benton Digital Delay

I bought a little Fender Amp last year and searched a bit for that kind of Rockabilly sound. But I don't wanted to pay a lot of money for a really good delay pedal. And the Harley Benton Delay showed me, that I don't have to pay a lot of money for a good sound. I create that 50s Slapback Delay with this unit and it works pretty well. I was a bit worried because of the word "Digital" in it's name because I was looking for a vintage sound but this pedal sounds fantastic. And it doesn't offend my regular sound when this pedal is part of my signal chain, which was really important to me. I would buy it again!

Echos

Bery basic delay that sounds lovely.

Took me a little fiddling (only three controls but it required fine adjustment for my desired effect) to get the settings the way I wanted but it now sounds fantastic and I use it all the time.

This isn't coming out of my effects loop in the near future.

Great Value Pedal

Love these Harley benton pedals. Inexpensive compared to mainstream brands so you can try loads of them but they still sound and perform great.

Great delay pedal that is quiet in operation (no hiss) and has a true bypass. What's not to like at this price.

No cheap trick!

I purchased the Harley Benton Digital Delay about a week ago and it definitely rocks my pedalboard! I have owned several delays over the years including models from Boss, Line 6, MXR and many more, but I was looking for something really simple without spending my money on getting an Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man. I have owned a Vahlbruch Spacetime Delay that didn't do the trick for me, so I tried the Harley Benton Digital Delay. The Harley Benton Digital Delay is based around the famous PT2399-IC that allows up to 600ms of digital delay and is used in many digital delays out there (Vahlbruch, Wampler, Mad Professor etc.). Although it's called a 'Digital Delay' it doesn't sound like being digital. The repeats are warm and almost sound like coming from an analog delay. The pedal's controls are pretty simple. The 'Time'-knob controls the delay-time, although the delays don't get longer after turning up the knob to 3/4 of it's way. The 'Repeat'-knob controls the amount of repeats following after the delay sets in and you can get pretty crazy oscillation sounds by turning up the knob. The 'Level'-knob is acting as a mixer-stage, so you can't use the pedal as a booster as it's not actually boosting the signal. On the inside of the pedal you will find a battery clip for using the pedal with batteries, but I wouldn't recommend to use the pedal with a battery, because it eats batteries like a monster resulting from the fact that it's a digital pedal. The overall workmanship is pretty good for a chinese made pedal.

Digital Delay

I am Looking for Delay for starter Pedals set up and this one works fine. Yes a very different from expensive Delays and pedals, But for beginners or for those who only need an simple echo for your guitar? this one will do it for you. No regret buying this product.. Not Perfect but its fine you can try it =)

Digital(?) delay

This delay does not seem a bit digital to me. This is an analog delay. As such it does what expected to an extent. The build quality seem ok. The on/off gives a distinct click sound when used, not very nice. It works but I would not recommend it although it has a very good price. Invest more and get a better product.

harley benton digital delay

i bought this harley benton product at first because it was a good price i thought i wouldnt be at too much of a loss if it didnt work out plus i had a zoom g3 with built in effects simply put this delay is far better at what it does if your looking for a good sounding not overly complicated delay with by pass which does work it doesnt loose any of your sound this is it

best value for money spent

very easy to use, sound quality is great and the delay effect can be changed from very subtle to very prominent.i used to have a boss DD2 and this pedal can produce the same sounds that i used to get from the boss pedal. the only "slight" downside is that the time controls have no gauge whereas the boss pedal gave the exact millisecond delay time. not a big deal but would be useful

vintage style delay

interesting budget delay.metal case,quiet.delay seems to have a treble roll off to make it sound a bit analogue. worked fine with all my other pedals and a shared power supply . a little larger than a boss pedal

Very Nice Digital Delay Pedal

Can't believe it sounds this good for the money!

I use a small amount of delay to color my sound and this works perfectly

Great delay for a very reasonable price. I 've got a few digital delays and analog ones and use them alternately. None of them sounds the same. I find this one really cool and great fun to play with. The box itself is of sturdy metal, with the knobs however I advise to be a bit more carefull, but hey, we are musicians at home or on stage, not construction workers in a rough environment (at, least, I hope so)
