For a delay pedal, it colors the tone a bit too much. I use delay pedal for a "slapback" effect to give more dimension to the sound. This pedal is good for that, however, you have to fine tune the level knob because, like I said before, it colors the tone quite a lot and the overdrive/distortion tones lose their "sharpness".

The Harley Benton Digital Delay was my first Delay pedal I ever own. I used in in front of my Fender Blues Junior (no effect loop but playing clean when delay was in front of the amp).

The delay effect itself was not quite my cup of tea.... i can't find a setting which statisfy me completely.

In addition the Delay affected my signal chain negative. Even when not activated there was a noise in my signal chain which got louder when activated the delay.

I notice the same noise when playing over an Marshall Amp with fx-loop.

Recently I switched to an tc electronic flashback.... and im happy now....

These harley benton pedals are built like tanks and will really take some stompin' abuse.

The true bypass, is a great feature for the price. The sounds you can coax from this delay pedal vary from a subtle echo to full on harmonizing double notes. Works really well with a good OD/distortion for metal soloing, or pretty clean sounds for that ambient chill out.

I cannot recommend these pedals enough, if you decide its not your liking, you haven't exactly spent a fortune!

Harley Benton Digital Delay

Although it says "Digital" and "Harley Benton" on this pedal, it isn't one or the other. It actually has more of an analog feel to it than digital, since the tone degrades very authentically, and it is more a Joyo, a chinese company that makes excellent clones of other pedals, but for a very reduced price, so this is basically the same. It is quite easy and simple to use, with 3 knobs it's kinda hard for something to go that wrong. Mind yourself about the Repeats, this has ear screeching feedback if you dial it somewhere between 2 o'clock and 5 o'clock. The only drawback is the lack of stereo output, but for the price, you get an excellent tone.

Digital Delay with analog sound

I did Not have much expectations on this pedal.

I just ordered it because i didn't wanted to spenden much Money just for One Song.

I have it in Front of my JCM 800 and it Works nicely.

Very warm analog Sound for a digital delay abd it does not change much the original Signal.

I found it a Little Tricky to Set up the pedal to my needs because the Pots are reacting very fast on Even small turns.

I have now the Perfect setup with all Pots on 10 o'clock.

Shimmering Sound for clean, Medium and HiGain.

Harley Benton Digital Delay review

Ever wanted to get that extra edge for your solos? The HB digital delay lets you move from a sweet background effect that adds a little spice to your sound - all the way to a crazy delay sound with huge time duration. Everything you need in a delay pedal is here. That being said, its not only the sound and the possibilities that are great; the value for the money is astounding and the reliability is more than you can ask for at this price point. Solid metal casing and sturdy knobs and input jacks really lets you concentrate on you playing and gives you a great delay experience.

Harley Benton Delay

The Harley Benton delay comes in a strong metal case which is great for this price range and the pots are smooth.

The downsides:

- don't push the rate too far up or you will create an awfull loop

- the button is kind of cheap and very noisy

I would recommand it to people who don't want to spend too much money on a delay.

Harley Benton Digital Delay

super cheap price, durable in its construction and retro in appearance.I like it.The functionability is quite basic, just echo and delay effects, though its quite capable of cranked up madness, but theres no loop function.I don't like the fact the power cable mounts on the side near the jack input.I would prefer behind the control knobs.
