A budget friendly powerful digital delay

An amazing pedal for the price, build quality is great, sounds great and does a few tricks, it could use a tap/tempo switch instead of the channel switch and make channel switching by pressing the two switches together (currently it the other way around, a dedicated channel switch and tap/tempo using the two foot switches at the same time) but overall a great pedal!

nice pedal

very simple to use and good sounding. i like it a lot.

plus points: nice clean sounding delay. good to have a longer delay time to work with. does what i need and i like what it does.

min point: be careful how loud a signal you have going into the delay. i notice sometimes if the signal is too hot the echos will start to distort.

overal very pleased with my delay.

First, let me say, this is a great sounding pedal, especially for the price! I have no complains about the sound at all.

The only thing I personally dislike much is the user experience. It basically force you to save your tweaks/settings into the memory (there are 2 preset memory slots). If you don't save it and try to use the pedal as other "normal" pedal meaning tweaking the knobs, then playing, then turning the pedal off, and later turning it on, you'll find out it actually loaded the current memory preset instead of honoring the knobs settings/positions. I understand that this was desired behavior by design, it's just I expected something else... And of course, if you get used to saving your settings to presets all the time before switching the pedal off, then you are good to go with no complaint.

But for me, if it didn't have those preset memories, I'd be happier :)

Great delay with a small drawback

Sounds great, tap tempo is fiddly and borderline usable. Has two preset banks A/B which is useful.

Superb quality in low price

I love the sound. My favourite is the 'mod' mode (with chorus) which create nice space to the sound. Also, the UI is pretty straight-forward, so just few minutes is enough to get a hang of it.

Great construction. The sound is great. You could easily be fooled that it was a way more expensive pedal. The ability to store 2 presets is also a fantastic feature

A 2 channel delay pedal with tap tempo. There is nothing to compete with that at this price point. Does not take batteries.

returned

this thing is the worst I have no clue why it has so many good reviews. I am taking it to the post office today. when you turn the time knob it doesnt do that SWOOSH thing it does some awkward skip jump thing and its just a poorly designed delay. I wanted so much to like it but i hate it. I got the tc electronic flashback 2 instead and for not much more you get a top of the line and delay

Just cheap and perfect

You get two delays with this pedal, just awsome

Great delay for a great price

Bought this pedal as my first delay, and I would suggest it for anyone looking to get into the delay world.

The digital delay sounds pretty standard and is plenty configurable with the knobs and the tap tempo function.

The analog is probably my favorite. It has a really nice warm quality to the repeats and they wash out a bit compared to the digital, it doesn't sound exactly like a mirror image of the original signal.

Modulation is very interesting but I don't use the effect a lot. It is useful for experimenting though as I don't have any other mod pedals on my board.

Reverse doesn't really seem usable, like others have said it has this weird cut-off and it just sounds too disconnected from everything you play.

The tap tempo is a bit of an annoyance to access, requiring both switches to be stomped at once, but I have large feet and the pedal is honestly surprisingly small (picture gave me the impression it was pretty big but it's less tall than a regular pedal and just a bit wider) so it's not that big of a hassle for me.

Overall great feature set for such a low price, definitely recommended for someone starting out or just needing a basic delay.

You get what you payed for

I gave this pedal 4 stars for the ratio quality / price.

Probably the cheapest delay pedal out there, with fairly reasonable sound. (it doesn't sound too digital or plasticky... the sounds are decent... especially the "tape" delay feature).

Overall the features are limited but the "tap tempo" has been probably the most useful for me. Switching between programmed sounds and new sounds is not that intuitive. It took me a while to get a hang of it.

I used this pedal for a couple of years and it has turned out to be pretty solid and durable.

Perfect delay for this price

I use this delay not with a guitar, but with a synthesizer. A very serious device for a very low price.

I like that it has several modes, this allows you to make the sound diverse. There are classic delays (analogue and copying). And there is modulation and reverse, they are useful to me for experiments with electronic sound, and this is why I chose this delay.

In addition, you can do tap-tempo on this delay and you can save the settings.

The best in this price

The only downsides are no battery, no stereo, except from those as a delay it has almoast everything you ll ever need.

It solid metal the knobs does not feel cheap the switches have a great feeling, and HB is definatly the number one option from me for now on.

It is cheap (cheapest in the market with that many features) it solid and it feels great.

If you are looking for all of these (on budget or not) definatly check it out.

A great Product...Minor issues...

Let me start by saying I built an entire back up pedalboard from HB pedals for less than the cost of ONE pedal from my main pedalboard!

That said…

I love the D-Seed. The versatility is amazing, the sound quality is VERY good… there are just a couple of things I personally would change.

1. The switches… they are momentary switches rather than “click” switches. Almost every other pedal I use has some give to them, these have NONE! When you are trying to switch quickly and ALL the other pedal on your board have some “give” these things feel like stepping on a nail!

2. It’s a little annoying to have to click both buttons to get the tap tempo feature…

But these are personal pet peeves… They may not bother you at all!

You cannot find a more versatile or better sounding delay for this price!

Solid quality for not a "triple-A" product

It just do whatever it meant to be. It was compared to Boss DD-7 and even you can't say D-SEED is better, at least it is the same quality. For a pedal that has not yet build a solid brand and doesn't coast you a kidney it's kinda cool in all ways.

Good sound quality, outstanding build, awesome control and literally 2 delays in one pedal (having two channels).

Having all these benefits it is not overpriced at all.

Pedal was in use for home recording, rehearsals and inhouse gigs. It's in you for a year now and I had no issues (nor technical, neither functional).

price/quality = Perfect

If we're talking price/quality, this is a superb pedal! Sounds great with great features. Would recommend this to every guitar player who wants to try a delay or is on a tight budget.
