Surprisingly good!

I have a bunch of strange and vintage basses, and wanted something not strange and vintage. This bass is very strange, but in the right way, I learned. Just like the bass is it is trying to copy by Fender. It wants to be played, and that is how I rate instruments. Do I want to pick it up and play it? Yes!

Great bass for the money

All in all, great bass, built well, neck is very smooth and narrow. Build quality and finish is great for the price, fret ends are a bit untidy but that's nothing for this price. The pickups and preamp sound great, very close to Alnico musicman sound, the Single coil is really good, I switched the Humbucker to a standard MM and the sound is really much the same (except for the MM having a chunkier neck. One tip - The bass came in a good setup but because of the flight and temp changes, the neck had a bow, release the strings and let it sit for a day to return to position before playing.
