Harley Benton Victory-BK Classic Series Reviews
Solid Flying V Clone
really nice construction, thick wood, with great resonance; the pick ups arent "state of the art", but they do have an old school metal grit, quite like the Gibson/Epiphone clones used by Metallica in the 80s when you combine it with a £20 metal pedal; overall this is a wonderful guitar, and extremely affordable :3 <3
I love it so much but 7th fret having nasty sound(
It's the best guitar i ever had
I wanted this guitar becuase it's cheap and kirk hammett used it in 1980s. I loved v style and the colour of it so i decided to bought it. It has the best sound and quality, I loved it.
Great for the price
I always wanted a V guitar and since I saw this I had to give it a try.
Ordered, played it and kept it :)
Nice budget guitar. Not the high end instrument but still great for bedroom players... would play it live with no problem.
No issues, some really minor imperfections that I noticed after a year but all and all great guitar.
If you are a beginer you can not go wrong with this one.
Some people change the magnets and bridge and stuff but no need to. Down the line maybe I will change tuners and that's it.
Nothing wrong with it a real rock machine.
Plays great at, looks good what more would you want :)
This is my first HB but it won't be the last.
Love it
I just love this guitar.....great look, finish, action and of course the sound is great....even makes me look cool😁
Good guitar... But...
The first guitar I was sent had level fret work, but there was a split in the neck, and the neck pickup a volume pot didn't work.. so I sent it back for a replacement the replacement arrived but the fret work was terrible unlevel frets everywhere, I was on the point of returning this one and getting a refund, but decided to level the frets myself as I have done it on a few guitars in the past, now the work is done with perfectly level and polished frets, the guitar plays and feels superb, just as good as my £3,000 Gibson's and Esp… great guitar for the price but be prepared you may need to do a bit of work..
Faulty item
Instrument arrived with one pick up not working
Why dose my e string sound weird
Just got my guitar and the e string aka top string sound weird it sounds fuzzy when I play it anyone know anything I restring it and it sounds the same I've tuned it idk how to fix it
Probably the best cheap flying v
The looks of it and the sound is the best thing about the guitar there are no problems in it and features are good but if you want more you have to pay more but overall very good and I recommend people to buy and it’s not bad for a beginner at all
Great for a start
Like the headline says its a great guitar for someone who's just starting off like me,afordable too,in a time where most people buy strats or teles,a v is sure to catch peoples eyes
Punches well above its price point!
First off, my ratings are based on what you get for the price, as obviously you can't fairly compare a $160 Harley Benton to a $3,000 Gibson.
So here we go.
I can't believe this guitar costs only ~$160 Canadian! Do I have better guitars? Yes, but they all cost $600 or more. This guitar is easily on par with my ~$400-$500 Epiphones. The finish is great, with only a few barely noticeable defects, the pick-ups are a tad muddy, but do the job just fine, the tuners work very well and feel solid and smooth, fretwork was mostly quite good. No fret sprout or sharp edges to speak of, the frets are all levelled well (NO fret buzz at all!) but they are a bit rough to the point where string bends are more difficult than they should be. Easily fixable. The action is a bit high, but still very playable. Again, fixable. The guitar arrived from Germany to Canada in 4 business days set up, tuned and ready to rock!
Very happy customer. Will buy Harley Benton again and I would tell you if you are thinking about it, DO IT. These are good guitars.
Excellent value for money
Amazed at how this guitar is made for the money. Good quality finish. Powerful sound. My son is a singer, songwriter and guitarist and owns various guitars including a Gibson, P. R. S etc and the Harley Benton Victory sounds the most powerful. He got it for metal. He also does blues and rock.
Only quibble is strings too high but this is an easy fix. Will be buying Harley Benton again. Customer service was also excellent.
Nice!
With small tuning it will be really nice guitar. Worth the price.
Very good for the money
It is a very good guitar for the money. If you swap out the electronics, this guitar can be a professional, gig worthy instrument
for its price is perfect it feels perfenct and it sounds perfect. It's like a 300$ dolar guitar!!!
Solid guitar for price
This guitar has a really good potential. Very nice neck to play and it's pretty light.
Need to change tuners and some small details but it's pretty good and looks amazing
Very good guitar for the money
The reason I bought it was that I wanted to own a V. This does the job. Can't fault it. Fretwork was really good and the pickups sound fine. Very playable straight from the box. Tuners are a bit hit or miss on HB guitars but it looks like I was lucky this time. Strings are awful but that is nothing to do with the guitar. If you are thinking about about this, don't. Buy it and enjoy it.
happy with purchase
everything is good or great minus humbucker switch. neck is straight, frets are great, humbucker's sound really good.
Cannot beat the quality in this price range.
The craftsmanship of this guitar is incredible especially in this price range. I would highly recommend to every one from a rookie to a seasoned player. The only thing I would recommend to make this guitar better is a better quality pickups.
Value for money
Recieved the guitar yesterday and have only had a little bit of time to play around with it. First impression is very good! A great looking guitar for a very economic price!
Pros:
Extremely economic for the sound quality and build
Feels robust in the hand
Good balance with the guitar strap
Well done with good finishing
Well rounded frets
No fret buzz
Tuners seem to hold the tuning fine
Good guitar tone and sound
Cons:
Pickups could be better but still sound good
Suggestion:
It would be great to include a generic Harley Benton guitar strap with the guitar
