Harley Benton G212 Celestion V30 4-stars Reviews
Very good product for the price
Very good product for the price
Amazing Harley Benton G212 Vintage
Great Sound.!!
Good quality of materials..Pure Hard Rock Sound
cool product , but it not hold the 100 W amp at full power
Really good sound, not so heavy , a bit noisy compared to other product , but still fine. Only notes , it do not hold properly a 100 W amp ( my marshall I.E ) at full power , if i crank the master volume above the 14 OC ( after 7 on 10 , let's say ) the speakers are starting blowing a bit .
Good for the money
I bought it for home recording to use with my Engl fireball 60. I havent tried anything else with my amp but it sounds good. It sounds clear and not tight like a 1x12 which i dont like. I think its a great choice for home studio. Im not sure if its wise to buy a 4x12 for home..
I use this cabinet for band rehearsals and gigs. It sounds just great.
Grips, jack socket, front grill seem to be very solid.
The only drawback is the tolex.
Great for the money
The 2x12 harley benton is the first cabinet i've ever owned, and I must say it crushes. It has a lot of tone and volume, thanks to the twin vintage 30 speaker configuration.
I used it on quite a few gigs, and it has always done me good. It has enough punch and clarity to easily cut through a mix, and is able to drown out a hard hitting drummer volume-wise. also the mono/stereo switch is very usefull for connecting two amps to a single cab.
However, the build quality is not the greatest, but hey, the seperate speakers in this cabinet cost nearly the same as the whole cabinet, so no reason to complain here.
It's definitely the best cabinet in this price category. i'd recommend this cabinet to beginners looking as their first rehearsal/stage-ready cabinet, this cabinet has the tone and volume.
Vintage 30s
Can't fault it, sure if you spend 500¤ more with some better timber you'll hear a more articulated version but this is a sweet sounding cab. Beautiful tone and clarity does exactly what vintage 30s do..... Sound great!!
Great sound
The speakers inside this cabinet are Celestion Vintage 30s, so the sound is going to be virtually as good as cabinets that cost more than twice as much.
It seems that access to the inside to change speakers will be easy.
Where the money is saved in construction costs are in the actual housing and cover. Compared to, say, a Marshall or Orange cabinet, the construction is a bit flimsy and the cover will plastic cover will easily rip and pucker. I am guessing the speakers will last longer than the cabinet.
However, this is my working cabinet, and I won't expect it to stay cosmetically beautiful.
Excellent quality 2x12 speaker
Excellent sound, with the Celestion Vintage 30's.
Build is very solid and the connectors are good quality and convenient.
I re cabled the cab with high quality speaker cable, because the original cable is a little thin and the contacts are spades (not the best connection). But it didn't change much in the sound, really.
The cabinet is plywood, it is solid and well built.
The corners of the front panel have tiny slots that the tolex didn't cover, and you can see the wood below. But this is MINOR flaw, given the price.
At this price this cabinet is unbeatable. If you're on a budget for a good sounding Vintage 30 2x12, stop thinking and just BUY IT. You will be in awe for a long time. Only the 2 Celestion speakers cost this much. How is it possible to sell the complete cabinet it at this price? I dunno, but I'm happy they do.
This one will stay in my gig for a many years to come. It's a killer!!!!
Using it with Jet City Amplification and Laney amplifier heads (all tube).
Solid cab for the price
Bought this some time ago. Still use almost every day. Both for rehearsals and live stuff.
If V30s are your thing then you can't go wrong with this cab in this price range.
It's solidly built and until now it hasn't caused me any sort of problem.
For an easy, pick-up-and-go solution it's perfect. Now I don't to carry a ridiculously overweight Mesa cab everyone and always worry about it.
In it's price range, you just CAN'T beat it!
A versatile budget cab for gigging/practice
Overall a fun entry level cab with great value for money to get you started or as a backup for your primary cab.
I bought this cab to go with a 50 watt EVH 5150 as a last minute purchase as we didn't have room for a 4x12.
I was on a tight budget at the time so this cab really jumped out due to its affordability and the celestion vintage 30's that the vintage version comes with.
Pros:
The sound and build quality stand up really well in a gigging environment with lows standing out really well in a mix, particularly in a rock/metal geared band like mine. Proper carry handles help with dragging the thing around as well and its held up well to the various drops/knocks we've thrown at it.
Cons:
At low volume it lacks clarity compared to other cabs i've used. I'm not a fan of the finish used to cover the cab, it marks very easily and is sometimes sticky when its hot enough. Its also quite large compared to other 2x12 cabs that I've seen.
Harley Benton G212 Vintage
its worth for its value, very good cabinet with highlight the vintage 30s . This combo of my randall and this makes a very tight sound which i was looking for .
quite good sound for the buck
all round a good 2x12 , obviously the bass response is not so good being the wood/material quite cheap but it gets the job done, if you are on budget might be a good option for you
Great cabinet, low price
Great cabinet in terms of price - quality.
I use this as my second cabinet for rehearsals and it does the job well.
Pro's:
- price
- 2x12" with 120 watts is really loud if needed
- easy to handle
- not too heavy
- very well built, very durable
Con's:
- not the most dynamic sound
Amazing value!
This cab is a steal at this price, can't even buy the speakers for this price really!. Sounds good and build quality is not too bad. Tolex is a bit poor but I'm not going to complain at this price. Would have been nice to have a carry handle on top as well as the bucket handles. I use this along side my Zilla Cab which has a bit more low end to it, so this provides a good complimentary high frequency boost to my stereo cab setup.
Great value cab
Since I started using this cab with my vox 50w amp I'm getting people commenting on my sound, like, crystal clear clean and classic gritty distorted. Nice and portable too.
Great speaker, with celestion v30 in it. You really get what you pay for with this one.
I used it as a backup, and at home use. And sounds almost as good as my 4x12 cab, that is alot more expensive than the HB G212.
It's kind of on the heavy side though, but that's usually a good things when it comes to sound!
Great bang for buck, once you have played in the new V30 speakers over a few months this cabinet really shines, for the price you will NOT beat it!
The tolex is thinner than higher priced cabinets so you should get a cover when transporting it, overall what a great 2x12 option for under $350.
Great value for money cab
Bought this to use with my Bugera 333XL head. The sound quality is great and the amp sounds incredibly clear through this cab. Has a nice low end which is ideal considering I primarily play 7 and 8 strings. The build quality is obviously not as great as higher end cabs but its still pretty good and feels solid enough to gig with. Can't really go wrong for the money especially as it comes with a pair of Celestion V30's. Highly recommended
It sounds good
It's a bargain...under 500$ you can't find anything better. And it costs 200$.
The only cons are that the tolex isn't high quality, and it's heavy (like many other cabs).
